Abstract
Combination of pool/billiards or snooker triangle rack with inbuilt spirit levels either precision bullseye or tubular spirit level types, as for racking up of balls or for checking for incline and finding the flat level playing surface plane of either a pool/billiards or snooker table, as all sides of the racks being equal and the spirit levels are centre of the three sides means that any of the three sides of either the bullseye or tubular racks can be used for parallel positioning to a cushion side of the table, the racks with bullseyes spirit levels show all directions, the racks with tubular spirit levels show two dimensions at the same time. Description
AUSTRALIA PATENTS ACT 1990 POOL/BILLIARDS AND SNOOKER BALLS RACK TRIANGLE WITH INBUILT SPIRIT LEVELS. "The Invention Is Described In The Following Statement:] INVENTED BY GRAHAM STEVEN GINARD 58 ADELAIDE STREET LAWSON
NSW
FIELD OF INVENTION [0001] The invention is for combining triangle racks with inbuilt spirit levels as for pool/billiards or snooker, it has two uses, one use for racking up of balls, the other use to check for incline and finding the flat level playing surface plane of either a pool/billiard or snooker table. [0002] Triangle racks haven't changed much over the years and are for one use only, this invention gives the rack two uses by incorporating either acrylic bullseye or encased acrylic tubular spirit levels inbuilt into the rack. By having spirit levels within the rack gives the player a constant reminder to check that the playing surface is level, one can argue that once a table is set level it stays level on the contrary tables get moved or nudged and the table legs might have been put on an uneven surface where shims are used that is if the legs are the type that are not height adjustable, thus true level of the table will need to be re levelled, otherwise ball roll will vary, the racks would come in sizes to compliment the size of balls being played, and the racks may be made of wood or plastic other materials are envisaged. [0003] It is also envisaged but keeping within the spirit of the invention rack triangles with inbuilt electronic digital or laser levels. [0004] It is also appreciated that various changes to the said invention but still keeping within the spirit of the invention. BACKGROUND [0005] Triangle racks are used to rack up pool/billiards or snooker balls and come in different sizes according to the size of the balls being played and the racks are usually made of wood or plastic. [0006] Traditional method of using a carpenter's level is generally used as to find two dimensions of the flat level surface plane of a pool/billiards or snooker table, also digital levels and bullseye levels are sometimes used. Invented by Graham Steven Ginard.
1 POOL/BILLIARDS AND SNOOKER BALLS RACK TRIANGLE WITH INBUILT SPIRIT LEVEL DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS. (NOT TO SCALE) [0007] Fig 1 shows rack triangle, No's 1, 2 and 3 shows acrylic round vial bullseye spirit levels each glued and embedded into sized holes (not shown) as to accommodate the bullseyes diameter size and depth leaving each bullseye surface flush and centre of each corner of the rack triangle, all bullseyes being in perfect alignment to each other so none of the three sides has priority over the other, the bullseyes are for ariel view only but the precision bullseye levels give all directions of the playing surface plane of the pool/billiards or snooker table. [0008] Fig 2 shows Ariel view of an acrylic round vial bullseye bubble spirit level, No 4 shows its diameter size that would be appropriate as for Fig 1. [0009] Fig 3 Side view of an acrylic round vial bullseye bubble spirit level, No 5 reveals its depth size. [0010] Fig 4 Shows racked triangle of balls, No 6 show how the balls are relative to the bullseyes. [00011] Fig 5 shows a rack triangle with acrylic encased tubular spirit levels centre and inset into each side of the triangle at No's 7,8 and 9, thus enabling bubbles of each spirit level to be viewed from multiple perspectives and ariel view and allowing for two dimensions to be viewed simultaneously of the playing surface plane of a pool/billiards or snooker table. [0012] Fig 6 and Fig 7 shows two flat head screws as to secure acrylic encased tubular bubble spirit level Fig 8 into accommodating cross section area of Fig 9, by using this screw in method will allow for replacement of the encased tubular spirit level if damaged.
2 [0013] Fig 10 shows a an acrylic encased tubular bubble spirit level in situ relative to Fig 9 [0014] Fig 11 shows ariel view of acrylic encased tubular bubble spirit level in situ relative to that of Fig 10. [0015] Fig 12 No shows a perspective view of an acrylic encased tubular bubble spirit level that would be permantly glued into accommodating area of Fig 13. [0016] Fig 14 shows a perspective view of an acrylic encased tubular bubble spirit level in situ. [00171 FIG 15 shows an ariel view of Fig 14.
