Abstract

A sash window formed from an aluminium frame and having window sashes each comprising an aluminium frame, a pane made of flexible PVC and a spring system. The spring system allows the sash to be opened or closed to any desired degree and also allows for simple tool-less removal of the sash.

Editorial Note 2016100064 There is one page of description only Lightweight Aluminium & Easislip Flexible PVC Screen System [01] There currently does not exist a tool-less sash type window system that has flexibility in how it can be opened and closed, or ease in removing and reinstalling them for cleaning and maintenance. [02] Built from an Aluminium frame with sash type PVC sections, insect mesh, aluminium frame work and track slides. It is available in various sizes, width and height. The slide sections are made from aluminium and 'Easislip Flexable' PVC with 'UV-R Blockout', fire rated PVC as an option. The screens are suitable for internal and external applications. The main frame is meshed to control insects, and can be optioned for both commercial and country applications, and can be made to meet fire regulations in all regions. [03]The screens have a unique stainless steel spring system which hold them in place and allow for ease of movement. This allows them to have complete freedom of movement, opening and closing to any desired position. The screens are easily removed from their frames, due to the unique spring system, for cleaning and maintenance.

Claims (2)

1. The unique spring system built into the sash windows allows for the screens to be opened and closed to any desired degree.
2. This same spring system also allows for easy, single step, tool-less removal and replacement of the screens from the frame.
