Abstract
A farm blender for mixing dry powder material, e.g. fertiliser, lime, gypsum etc., with water for spreading on an agricultural project, comprising a holding tank with a top hinged lid (1) to enable the powder to be added and for maintenance access, a bracket (2) holding a motor which drives a main drive shaft (3) to which are connected blender pin blades (4) for mixing the powder and water, which is removed from the tank by sludge pump (5) and sprayed onto the agricultural project via outlet (6). Description of invention for an innovation patent FARM BLENDER The farm blender is used to mix fertilizers, lime, gypsum, etc. with water to be in a liquid form for spreading on any agricultural project. The cylindrical holding tank stands vertically with the bottom end sealed and the top end lid flanged bolted so that the operating parts can be removed from the tank for maintenance. The mixing vertical power shaft is held in place by a bracket attached to the upper flanged lid. Two bearings and the variable speed hydraulic or electric motors drive the power shaft. The upper flange lid also provides entry for the products to be blended after initially filling the tank with the required amount of water. The mixing blades are held onto the vertical shaft by clamps which can be adjusted or removed; the blades are set in a helix pattern for an even mixture flow. The tank walls are lined to prevent mineral build-up. At the base of the vertical tank a hydraulically powered sludge pump recirculates the mixed product material to the top of the tank. When the mixing has been completed the sludge pump can be used to supply pressure on the product to the outlet spray system and also for flushing the tank clean. The sludge pump has a trap and screen before the inlet which prevents oversized particles entering the pump. A scraper could be attached to the lowest pin blades to prevent sediment collecting on the bottom of the tank. The system is made in various sizes and with a range of materials. The blender could also be used to collect other industrial fine materials for disposal.

1. A high speed blending system using liquids to spread powered dry products with one application.
2. Blender can be used stationary or mobilized on a trailer or tractor.
