Abstract The toothbrush consisting of a movement or vibration sensor and a microcontroller (MCU) mounted within it, which works only when the toothbrush is put to use.
Description
Description A toothbrush with an electronic countdown timer is disclosed. This innovation enables the user to determine how many times the toothbrush has been used or how many times more can it be used from the manufacturers recommended time. This alerts the user when the toothbrush is due for a change. The innovation makes use of sensors that sends signals each time the toothbrush is used to a display unit that then reads the countdown from a pre-set number that depends on the recommendation of the brush usage time (eg counting from 200 to zero). Claims (7)
1. The toothbrush consists of a movement or vibration sensor and a microcontroller (MCU) mounted within it and work only when the toothbrush is put to use.
2. A countdown display mounted on the toothbrush.
3. When the toothbrush is put to use, the sensor sends a signals to the MCU. After receiving a number of continuous signals a countdown display will take place and the number will be shown on the display unit.
4. The switch turns off automatically when the toothbrush is no longer in use for a set period of time, such as one minute.
5. The display unit stores the last countdown number and continues to countdown on the next usages.
6. The electronic components - sensor, switch, electric circuits and display unit will work with small batteries
