Abstract

Abstract A portable Power Bank installed in a pair of normal wearable headphones to minimize the problem of users running out of power while away from a charging source. The Power Bank as a battery installed in either the padded headband of a pair of headphones or installed in the ear cups or both earcups and headband. This would allow the headphones to be recharged via electricity and then used to power portable devices eg. Smartphones, tablet computers or smartwatches, while the user is wearing the headphones. A user of a portable device can receive power from the headphones while using a smartphone or tablet computer or making calls or checking GPS from the smartwatch for example. Also the headphones may contain a microphone so that the user of an appropriate device may communicate while wearing the headphones and having them connected to a suitable device.

Friday 23rd October 2015 Specification Description for Headphone Power Bank I have come up with the idea of having a portable Power Bank installed in a pair of normal wearable headphones. These would be the larger type of headphones with a padded band and large earcups. However, in the future the size of the headphones may be reduced due to new technology. The idea is to have this Power Bank as a battery of approximately 2000 mAh which would be installed in either the padded headband of a pair of headphones, or installed in the ear cups, or both. This would allow the headphones to be recharged via electricity and then used to power portable devices eg. Smartphones, tablet computers or smartwatches while the user is wearing the headphones. This would be of great benefit to the smartwatches currently available as it would extend their running time greatly. This means a user of a portable device can receive power from the headphones while using a smartphone or tablet computer or making calls or checking GPS from the smartwatch for example. By having this external Power Bank, it would help to minimize the problem of users running out of power while away from a charging source. Also the headphones may contain a microphone so that the user of an appropriate device may communicate via a voicecall while wearing the headphones. The headphones may be connected to an appropriate device by a cable or via Bluetooth to make and receive calls.
