Abstract

Abstract Proposed extendable screed has the capability being un-assembled and reducing overall length to 1/3 of the overall length. It also has the ability to be connected and extended to a longer bar. It maintains a perfectly straight edge due to its screw clamp design which enforces the edge to remain in perfect line. The screed claims to be a portable solution to a very traditional tool that is used around the world as standard levelling equipment. The screed claims to be advantageous due to its portability. The screed claims to be cost effective due to the one unit does all for half the expense Extendable Screed With Level Pagel

Description

Editorial Note 2015101255 There is one page of description only Extendable Screed By Michael Abdennour Description: The extendable Screed functions the same way a standard screed does. The difference is it has extendable add on arms. These arms are designed to connect to the main body (the 1.2m piece). The main body has a water level installed. The add on arms have an extruded bar that connects and bolts onto the main body. The design must be an exact straight edge and not flex or warp. Advantages: The screed reduces cost of buying 4 items, a 3m, a 2.2m, 2m, 1.2m and water level into one. It gives the user an option of how long they want the screed to be. The water level is far better than sitting a level on your screed reducing the need for a secondary measuring unit. The portability is far easier than carrying all those tools. Also the size of the longer lengths are difficult or impossible getting into smaller cars, so now it is easy to break the unit down and get it in any car. The screed features five in one unit. The five consist of: 1. 1.2 m screed 2. A water level in the 1.2m length 3. A 2m screed if the 800mm piece fits on 4. A 2.2m screed if the Im length is fit on 5. A 3m screed if all are fit together Parts included are: 1. One 1.2m screed with a handle and a level 2. One Im extender straight edge with extruded extender on the end 3. One 800mm extender straight edge with extruded extender on the end 4. Removable and replaceable end caps 5. Wing nut bolts 6. Rubber sleeve thread protectors
