Description
- 1 Description Glue-free sole Technical Field The present innovation patent relates to a glue free sole. Background Art Common shoes currently present on the market are formed by a sole glued to an upper, with a midsole glued to, stitched to, or directly placed on an outsole. In a manual production process, glue poses a relatively great threat not only to the health of workers but also to the environment. Now some patents have disclosed replacing the traditional method of gluing with stitching, tying or buckling. CN 2268408 Y discloses a structure in which an upper provided with stitching holes and a sole are joined; however, in this patent, an outsole needs to be provided with stitching holes in advance and is thus prone to ingress of water, and a midsole and the upper are stitched to the outsole such that the detaching, installing and cleaning are inconvenient. CN 201640661 U discloses a glue-free shoe having an edge provided with a tab for stitching a ramp; however, in order to ensure that the shoe will not deform, it would be necessary to glue an inner side of the tab to an inside edge of the sole, also requiring the use of glue. CN 203314215 U discloses a glue-free casual shoe formed from an upper connected to a sole by a thin cloth rope passing through connecting holes, which shoe also requires provision of connecting holes in advance.
- 2 Content of the Utility Model In order to overcome the disadvantages in the prior art, an object of the present innovation patent is to provide a sole in which no gluing is required, stitching is convenient and a midsole can be better fixed and detached. In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present innovation patent adopts the technical solution as follows: the present solution provides a glue-free sole, comprising an outsole and a midsole; an outside wall of the outsole is provided along an outer periphery thereof with an annular stitching groove which is recessed inwardly, a cavity which is shaped to match the outsole is provided in the middle of the outsole, and an inside wall of the outsole is provided along an inner periphery thereof with an annular slot which is recessed inwardly; the midsole is composed of a main body in the middle and a wing located at an outside periphery of the main body, the wing being shaped to match the annular slot; and the wing of the midsole is inserted into the annular slot of the outsole. Preferably, the annular slot is located corresponding to the annular stitching groove. Preferably, the annular slot is inclined downwardly from the inside wall to the outside wall of the outsole. Preferably, a plurality of ribs are provided in the cavity, air chambers with an upwardly directed opening are provided between adjacent ribs and between the ribs and the inside wall of the outsole. Preferably, an upper portion of the annular stitching groove is provided with a chamfer.
- 3 Preferably, a lower portion of the annular stitching groove is provided with an annular ledge extending radially outwardly. As compared to the prior art, the present innovation patent has the beneficial effects as follows: the present innovation patent provides a glue-free sole and is intended to reduce the use of glue in a shoe making process by providing both an annular stitching groove for stitching an upper to an outsole and an annular slot for fixing a midsole to the outsole. In addition, the midsole and outsole can be freely disassembled and assembled, facilitating the cleaning. Two side portions of the midsole are shaped to match the shape of the annular slot and thus can be firmly snap-fitted onto the outsole via the annular slot, and the inside of the midsole is flat and more stable, bringing a comfortable foot experience to the wearer. Further, the annular slot and the annular stitching groove are located corresponding to each other and a stitching support is formed therebetween so as to facilitate stitching, thereby solving the problem of water leakage due to the stitching holes; and the stitching support has a suitable thickness and is not directly exposed, and thus will not easily deform. The annular slot is slightly inclined downwardly from the centre of the sole towards two sides of the sole, providing anti-skidding and fixing of the midsole, and also facilitating the detaching and installing of the midsole; meanwhile, such an inclined annular slot also facilitates mechanical or manual stitching of the upper to the outsole. In addition to maintaining a relatively good ventilation effect, the air chambers in the annular slot on the outsole, in combination with the detachable midsole, make cleaning, drying and sterilizing and the like easier, guarantee the health of the wearer. The arc-shaped chamfer on the annular stitching groove enables the outer wall of the upper portion of the outsole to snugly fit with the material of the upper, can effectively reduce friction on the upper, and makes the stitches of the upper more attractive and durable. The annular ledge at the lower portion of the annular stitching groove radially protrudes beyond the annular stitching groove and the chamfer, can protect the upper and the stitches better, and can achieve the purposes of waterproofing, and mud-proofing etc. The present innovation patent will be further described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and particular embodiments. Description of the Drawings Figure 1 is a top structural view of an outsole of an embodiment of the present utility model; figure 2 is a bottom structural view of the outsole of the embodiment of the present utility model; figure 3 is a sectional view taken through A-A' of figure 2; figure 4 is a sectional view taken through B-B' of figure 2; and figure 5 is a sectional view taken through C-C' of figure 2; where in figures 1-5, reference signs are as follows: 1. outsole; 2. ledge; 3. annular stitching groove; 4. chamfer; 5. stitching support; 6. annular slot; 7. air chamber; 8. rib; 9. cavity. Particular Embodiments The glue-free shoe of the present innovation patent will be further described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and - 5 particular embodiments, wherein top, structural and sectional views of an outsole are shown in figures 1-5. The glue-free sole provided in the present innovation patent comprises an outsole 1 and a midsole. The core idea of the present innovation patent consists in that an outside wall of the outsole 1 is provided along an outer periphery thereof with a recessed annular stitching groove 3 for stitching an upper, a cavity 9 which is shaped to match the outsole 1 is provided in the middle of the outsole 1, and an inside wall is provided along an inner periphery with a recessed annular slot 6 for fixing, removing and placing the midsole, such that the engagement of the upper with the outsole and of the midsole with the outsole can be achieved with good joining and fixing effects without the need of glue. The midsole is composed of a main body in the middle and a wing located at an outside periphery of the main body, the shaped of the wing being adapted to that of the annular slot 6, and the wing of the midsole is inserted into the annular slot 6 of the outsole 1. A preferred shape of the annular stitching groove 3 and the annular slot 6 is a smooth ring equidistant from an upper edge of the outsole 1. The annular stitching groove 3 and the annular slot 6 may have a constant width in deeper and shallower positions, or may be narrower in the deeper positions and wider in the shallower positions. The annular stitching groove 3 may have a uniform depth at various positions on the outside wall of the outsole 1, or may have a varying depth at different stitching sites depending on the material and thickness of the upper. As shown in figures 3, 4 and 5, the annular slot 6 and the annular stitching groove 3 are located corresponding to each other and at the same height relative to the outsole 1, or the annular stitching - 6 groove 3 is located slightly lower than the annular slot 6 by a height difference which should not exceed the operational range for oblique stitches in manual or mechanical stitching. The spacing width between the annular slot and the annular stitching groove should be such that a layer of a relatively strong and easy-to stitch stitching support 5 can be formed therebetween. An appropriate adjustment can be made depending to the material of the outsole 1 and stitching density requirements, in order to ensure that the stitched-up outsole 1 can be tightly stitched to the upper without deformation or rupture. As shown in figures 3, 4 and 5, the annular slot 6 is preferably slightly inclined downwardly from the centre of the sole towards the two sides of the sole. The angle and depth by which the annular slot 6 is inclined are adapted to the width ratio of the annular stitching groove 3 to the midsole main body and the lateral wing. As shown in figures 4 and 5, an arc-shaped chamfer 4 is provided at an upper portion of the annular stitching groove 3, and the radius of curvature of the chamfer 4 varies as a function of the hardness of the material of the upper, so as to achieve reduced wear and good fitting. A lower portion of the annular stitching groove 3 is provided with a protruding ledge 2, an upper face of the ledge 2 is flat so as not to hinder the stitching and the shape of a lower face thereof is not limited, the radial width by which the ledge 2 protrudes towards the outside periphery of the shoe should take into account the waterproofing and mud-proofing functions and the aesthetic design concept of the shoe body. On the outsole 1, a plurality of ribs 8 are provided in the cavity 9, air chambers 7 with an upwardly directed opening are formed between a rib 8 and an adjacent rib 8 and between the ribs 8 and the inside wall of the outsole 1. The air chambers 7 are present throughout front, middle and rear portions of the shoe, as shown in figures 1 and 3, and it is preferred that the air chambers 7 in the front part are wavy air chambers 7 communicated from left to right and composed of a plurality of wavy ribs 8, while the middle and rear portions are usually provided with a plurality of straight strong ribs 8. Generally, it is possible to provide a single vertical rib 8 to form a square air chamber 7. The thickness of the ribs 8 should be reasonably set depending on the material of the outsole 1 to ensure that the ribs can withstand pressure for a long time. Furthermore, the shapes of the air chambers 7 and the ribs 8 are not limited to those shown in figures 1 and 3, as long as they can achieve ventilation and withstand pressure for a long time. The embodiments described above are merely preferred embodiments of the present innovation patentand are not intended to limit the scope of protection of the present utility model, and any non substantive changes and substitutions made by a person skilled in the art on the basis of the present innovation patent will fall within the scope of protection of the present utility model.
