Abstract

Present practice of weedicide or ground application of liquid fertilizer (in both horticulture and broadacre agriculture) is done by number of nozzles attached to fixed holding body which is attached to the moving vehicle or weedicide unit. The most common practice is to attach each nozzle/nozzle set to a holding bar with spring loaded mechanical system to keep the position of nozzle in expected place. This conventional spring loaded mechanism is providing flexibility against some of ground objectives and the physical barriers on the ground by moving horizontally. Due to field obstacles, sometimes spring loaded mechanism can be permanently damaged by hitting solid objects on the ground such as a stone or a basal part of a tree, as the system can only move within a limited range in horizontal direction. In addition to that the spring loaded mechanism can also collide itself in extended field work due to friction. It needs additional maintenance & frequent lubrication to keep the system in proper working condition. Another disadvantage of existing system is adjusting of nozzle height. It may consume lot of time or sometimes need expensive hydraulic mechanisms for height adjustment. The Chain Suspension Mechanism for Nozzle Set in Weedicide or Fertilizer Application will provide sustainable and low cost solution to some of existing issues. The main advantages of this innovation is low cost and the user doesn't want to bother about the maintenance at all. And height (ground clearance) can be adjusted very quickly and easily with adjusting the chain height. This feature will help to improve drift control in air pollution and to increase the spray efficiency. Finally, there is little chance to have a damage to this chain suspension nozzle set in the field, as it can slide on top of ground barriers and can move to any direction and relocate itself after the obstacle. Description

CHAIN SUSPENSION MECHANISM FOR NOZZLE SET IN WEEDICIDE OR FERTILIZER APPLICATION BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION [0001] At the moment, weedicide or ground application of liquid fertilizer (in both horticulture and broadacre agriculture) is done by number of nozzles attached to fixed holding body which is attached to the moving vehicle or weedicide unit. [0002] The most common practice is to attach each nozzle/nozzle set to holding bar with spring loaded mechanical system to keep the position of nozzle in expected line. [0003] The spring loaded mechanism is providing flexibility against some of ground objectives and the physical barriers on the ground by moving horizontally. TECHNICAL PROBLEM [0004] Sometimes spring loaded mechanism can be permanently damaged by hitting solid objects on the ground such as a stone or a basal part of tree, as the system can only move within a limited range in horizontal direction. [0005] Spring loaded mechanism can also collide itself and need additional maintenance & frequent lubrication to keep the system working. [0006] Adjusting of nozzle height is sometimes time consuming work or expensive hydraulic mechanisms taken place. SOLUTION TO PROBLEM [0007] Chain Suspension for Nozzle Set in Weedicide or Fertilizer Application will provide sustainable and low cost solution to above mentioned and some of existing issues. ADVANTAGEOUS EFFECTS OF INVENTION [0008] The main advantages of this innovation is low cost and the user doesn't want to bother about the maintenance at all. [0009] Ground clearance between the ground and the nozzle set can be adjusted very quickly and easily and help to improve drift control and to increase the spray efficiency. [0010] It is very rare chance to have a damage to this chain suspension nozzle set, as it can slide on top of ground barriers and can move to any direction and relocate itself after the obstacle.
Description Of Figure 1 In Drawings Page [0011] A - Conventional nozzle holding bar modified with open rings for chains are providing hanging points for one end of the chain. And provide suspension for nozzle set. [0012] B - Metal Chains will provide suspension to nozzle set and it is the key concept of invention idea. Changing the number of rings in the chain, can easily adjust the ground clearance. [0013] C - Nozzle bar with hooks for chains are in suspension position. There is no any barriers for multidirectional movements and the gravity forces them to come back to original position. [0014] E - Wind guards will provide the protection from wind and reduce the potential of spray drift.
