Abstract

AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE OR METHOD FOR CHANGING FOCUS STATE DURING VIDEO Abstract An electronic device101 arranged to change a focus state of an electronic device 101 from an initial focus state to a target focus state during video capture, the electronic device 101 comprising a processor 105 arranged to: capture video with the electronic device 101 in an initial focus state; determine a target focus state for a target object, the target focus state being 10 different to the initial focus state; analyse images captured by the electronic device 101 wherein the analysis comprises analysis of objects in a scene of the captured video, automatically select a focus transition profile 290 from a plurality of focus transition profiles 280 based on the image analysis, wherein the focus transition profile 290 specifies a rate of focus change over time from the initial focus state to the target focus state, and control focus of the 15 electronic device from the initial focus state to the target focus state during the video capture based on the selected focus transition profile 290. p1:12q74- q47S;4n 1 CPT
