Description

1 Detachable Extruded Frame and Components Technical Field The present invention relates to a detachable extruded frame and the components for assembling such frame. In particular, the present invention relates to a detachable extruded 5 frame for display and its components capable of assembling and dissembling with ease. Background Traditionally, extruded display frame were assembled before delivery. During the assembly process, the joints of the extruded member were welded together in order to ensure the rigidity of the frame structure. Once assembled, the size of the display frame .0 rendered it difficult to transport. Also it was difficult to dissemble the frame and nearly impossible to reuse the components to construct a frame for different shape or form. The present invention provides a detachable extruded frame which may ameliorate one or more of disadvantages of the prior art or provide an alternative thereof. Summary of the Invention .5 In accordance with an aspect of the invention, there is provided a detachable extruded frame for use in display comprising one or more elongate members adapted to engaging with a display medium, wherein each extremity of the elongate member has a reinforcement block detachably secured thereto, and an end plate attached to the elongate members by securing to one or more of the enforcement blocks. O0 Preferably, each of the elongate members has a hollow body, wherein the hollow body comprises track disposed thereon. Preferably, each of the reinforcement blocks has grooves for tracks on the extruded frame to fit thereto. Preferably, the reinforcement blocks are secured to the elongate members with screws; 25 and the end plates are secured to the reinforcement blocks with screws. Preferably, the reinforcement blocks are made of solid aluminum. Detailed Description of the Preferred Embodiment The present invention relates to a detachable extruded frame 10 for use as a display stand comprising one or more elongate members 12 adapted to engaging with a display .5 medium, wherein each extremity of each elongate member has a reinforcement block 14 detachably secured thereto, and an end plate 16 detachably attached to the elongate members by securing to one or more of the enforcement blocks. In one embodiment, the elongate member 12 comprises a hollow body commuting between two extremities. Along the hollow body of the elongate member 12 are tracks 21 20 and holes 22. The holes 22 and the surface of the elongate member 12 are adapted to engaging with a display medium such as a fabric sheet, a poster, an acrylic board or a fiber glass, etc. In a preferred embodiment, the elongate members 12 are made of aluminum through extrusion. The reinforcement blocks 14 are adapted to connect snugly to the extremity of the hollow 25 body of the elongate member 12. On the body of the reinforcement block 14, there are grooves 23 for the tracks 21 of the elongate members 12 to fit thereto. The reinforcement blocks 14 further comprising means to facilitate the securing of it to the elongate members 12. In a preferred embodiment, the elongate members 12 and the reinforcement blocks 14 are secured to each other with screws 25. In a preferred embodiment, the reinforcement 3 blocks 14 are made of solid aluminum. As the reinforcement blocks 14 fit into the hollow body of the elongate members 12, the structure of the elongate members is strengthened. In one preferred embodiment, the reinforcement blocks 14 have a significantly short length than the elongate member 12. 5 The end plates 16 are adapted to detachably attach to the elongate members 12 by securing to the reinforcement blocks 14 inside the elongate members. The end plates 16 are adapted to provide support to the detachably extruded frame 10, such that the detachably extruded frame can stand steadily on its own. The end plates 16 can be any shape according to an end user specification. In one embodiment, the end plates 16 are L .0 shaped, while in another embodiment, the end plates can be U-shaped. When in use, the components of the detachably extruded frame - the elongate members 12, the reinforcement blocks 14, and the end plates 16, are transported to the working venue before assembled. At the working venue, the reinforcement blocks 14 are first fitted into the elongate members 14. The reinforcement blocks 14 are then secured to the elongate .5 member 12 with screws 25. The end plate is then placed at the extremities of the elongate member 12, and secured to the reinforcement blocks 14 by screws 25. After used, the screws 25 at the elongate members are removed first. The end plates 16 which have the reinforcement blocks 14 attaching thereto are then detached from the elongate member 12. Afterwards, the screws 25 at the end plates 16 are removed to allow the reinforcement 0 blocks 14 separated from the end plates. The components can then be transported out from the working venue and re-used for the next occasion. It will be appreciated by persons skilled in the art that numerous variations and/or modifications may be made to the invention as shown in the specific embodiments without departing from the spirit or scope of the invention as broadly described. The present 25 embodiments are, therefore, to be considered in all respects as illustrative and not restrictive. Any reference to prior art contained herein is not to be taken as an admission that the information is common general knowledge, unless otherwise indicated.

Claims (5)

1. A detachable extruded frame for use in display comprising one or more elongate members adapted to engaging with a display medium, wherein each extremity of the elongate member has a reinforcement block detachably secured thereto, and an end plate attached to the elongate members by securing to one or more of the enforcement blocks.

2. A detachable extruded frame according to Claim 1 wherein each of the elongate members has a hollow body, wherein the hollow body comprises track disposed thereon.

3. A detachable extruded frame according to Claim 2 wherein each of the reinforcement blocks has grooves for tracks on the extruded frame to fit thereto.

4. A detachable extruded frame according to Claim 3 wherein the reinforcement blocks are secured to the elongate members with screws; and the end plates are secured to the reinforcement blocks with screws.

5. A detachable extruded frame according to Claim 1 wherein the reinforcement blocks are made of solid aluminum.
