Abstract

The present invention is a hair regrowth laser cap with a cap body shell. In the cap body shell, there is a support cover. Between the support cover and the cap body shell, there is at least one flexible circuit board, in which at least one laser diodes are 5 distributed. These parallel laser diodes, which are preferably connected to power and controller via wire, are located in a corresponding hole in the support cover. The inventin can be used to treat hair diseases such as hair loss, baldness, withered hair and white hair. The treatment effect is significant without any toxic side effect to ensure there is no impact on patient's health. It features with simple structure, low 10 cost, user-friendly and efficient, no using place limited. 1 HAIR REGROWTH LASER CAP Field of the Invention The invention relates to the hair growth technical field, and more specifically to a hair 5 regrowth laser cap. Background to the Invention Hair diseases are clinically frequently occurring diseases. Common diseases include hair loss, baldness, withered hair and white hair. With the continuous improvement of 10 beauty consciousness, people's demand for hair health is higher. At present, internal medicine or topical drugs are used to treat alopecia; baldness etc., which may result in a long therapeutic treatment course, an unsatisfactory effect and a relatively high cost. Disadvantageously, topical drugs treatments often require patients to be treated in designated places. On the one hand, it is inconvenient; on the other hand, it is very 15 troublesome. Furthermore, the long term use of drug treatments may cause toxic side effects, scalp injury, and may affect the patients' health. Summary of the Invention The technical problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a user friendly hair regrowth laser cap. 20 According to the present invention there is provided a hair regrowth laser cap including a cap body shell, a support cover, at least one flexible circuit board located between the support cover and the cap body shell and at least one laser diode located on the flexible circuit board, said at least one laser diode arranged to direct a laser light towards the hair of a patient wearing the cap, said at least one laser diode 25 located in a corresponding hole formed in the support cover. Description of the Figures Embodiments of the invention will now be described, by way of example only, with reference to the accompanying Figures in which: 30 2 Figure 1 is the schematic diagram of a cap according to an embodiment of the invention; Figure 2 is left side view of the cap shown in Figure 1; and 5 Figure 3 is an enlarged view of the breakaway portion shown in Figure 1. Detailed Description of the Preferred Embodiments of the Invention The Figures illustrate a hair regrowth laser cap according to an embodiment of the 10 invention. The cap includes a cap body shell (1), at least but preferably two flexible circuit boards (2), at least one but preferably numerous laser diodes (3), a power and controller (4) and a support cover (5). The cap body shell (1) is a generally hemispherical structure and is preferably made 15 by injection moulding. As depicted, in the inner surface of the cap body shell (1) there are two eudipleural flexible circuit boards (2), which stick to the cap body shell (1). The inner layout face of the two flexible circuit boards (2) includes a number of laser diodes (3). The number of laser diodes (3) on the boards (2) may vary. 20 The diodes (3) are preferably set up in parallel and are connected to the power and controller (4) via a wire. Power source and controller (4) may be located inside or outside of the cap body shell (1). The inner surfaces of the two circuit boards (2) with the laser diodes (3) are covered with a support cover (5), which is made via injection moulding. Each laser diode (3) is located in a corresponding hole formed in the 25 support cover (5). The support cover (5), flexible circuit boards (2) and cap body shell (1) are preferably fixed together by an edge-seal (1a) at the brim of the cap. Patients wear the cap according to an embodiment of the invention on their head and over their hair. The cap may be worn under a hat and thus hidden by it when it is being used. Alternatively, a cap according to an embodiment of the invention may be 30 incorporated into a hat, such as a baseball style cap. A controller controlled power source supplies power for the laser diodes (3), which provides laser light to patients' scalp. The diodes (3) preferably emit 650nm laser light to irradiate the patient's scalp.
3 Lasers could activate adenosine triphosphate (APT) in subcutaneous tissues, stimulate metabolism, promote blood circulation and deliver oxygen and nutrients to hair follicle, so as to prevent hair loss. Lasers also effectively stimulate hair follicles, regulate the oil secretion, accelerate hair growth, enhance hair strength, density and 5 elasticity, so as to make hair black and shiny. Thermal effect of the scattered light increases skin temperature, reduces sympathetic nerve ability, releases vasoactive substance, expands blood vessels, accelerates blood flow, improves blood circulation, increases the organisation nutrition, activates metabolism, enhances oxygen supply, improves blood and oxygen supply conditions in focal area, 10 strengthens the cell regeneration ability, controls inflammation development and makes its localised, accelerates the focal area repair. The cap body shell is similar to a hemispherical shape. Preferably two eudipleural flexible circuit boards (2) are placed between the support cover (5) and the cap body shell (1) in order to make it easier to install the flexible circuit boards (2) in the cap 15 body shell (1) after being bent. Both the cap body shell (1) and the support cover (5) are preferably made via injection moulding in order to process and manufacture conveniently and reduce cost. Power and controller (4) are placed inside or outside of the cap body shell (1) in order to meet different installation requirements. 20 Beneficial Effects of Some Embodiments of the Invention A cap according to an embodiment of the invention may be used to treat hair diseases, like hair loss, baldness, withered hair and white hair, etc. The treatment effect is significant without any toxic side effect, so it ensures there is no impact on 25 patient's health. It features with simple structure, low cost, user-friendly and efficient, no using place limited.

Claims (7)

1. A hair regrowth laser cap including a cap body shell, a support cover, at least one flexible circuit board located between the support cover and the cap body shell and at least one laser diode located on the flexible circuit board, said at 5 least one laser diode arranged to direct a laser light towards the hair of a patient wearing the cap, said at least one laser diode located in a corresponding hole formed in the support cover.
2. A hair regrowth laser cap according to claim 1, including two flexible circuit boards between the support cover and the cap body shell. 10
3. A hair regrowth laser cap according to claim 1 or claim 2 powered by a power supply located externally of the cap and connected to the cap by a wire.
4. A hair regrowth laser cap according to any one of the preceding claims wherein the cap body shell is made by injection moulding.
5. A hair regrowth laser cap according to any one of the preceding claims wherein 15 the support cover, said at least one flexible circuit board and said cap body shell are fixed together by an edge seal at the brim of the cap.
6. A hair regrowth laser cap according to any one of the preceding claims wherein the at least one laser diode emits 650nm laser light to irradiate the patient's scalp. 20
7. A hair regrowth laser cap according to claim 1 or claim 2, powered by a power supply and controller located inside or outside of the cap body shell.
