Other aspects of the invention are also disclosed.
Brief Description of the Drawings
Notwithstanding any other forms which may fall within the scope of the present invention, preferred embodiments of the present invention will now be described, by way of examples only, with reference to the accompanying drawings in which:
Fig. 1 is a schematic front view of a drink vessel in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention; and
Fig. 2 is a bottom view of the drink vessel.
Description of Embodiments
It should be noted in the following description that like or the same reference numerals in different embodiments denote the same or similar features.
Figures 1 and 2 show a drink vessel 10 in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention. The drink vessel 10 is a beer bottle having a body 11 with a top opening 12 and a bottom 13. labels 14 as is known are typically applied to the body 11.
When people are faced with difficulties, facing a tough decision or simply enjoying life, most people typically “go to the bottle”, which is a colloquial way of saying they drink an alcoholic drink such as beer or wine. There is a saying that “There are no answers at the bottom of a bottle” for people who seek solutions to their issues via drinking alcohol.
The applicant however seeks to provide such “answers” to consumers in a fun, informative and interactive manner. In the present invention, a text 15 in the form of a random “answer” is provided to the bottom 13 of a bottle 10. Such answer 15 can be directly printed, applied or finned to the bottom 13 or the answer 15 can be printed on a label 16 which is applied to the bottom 13.
In a typical case of beer with twenty four bottles 10, twenty four random different answers 15 can be provided to the bottoms 13 of the bottles 10. Each user in use picks a random bottle 10 and then asjf their specific question such as:
Should I go and talk to that girl ?
Should I go home?
Should I leave my girlfriend?
Should I quit my job? 1
Typical “answers” 15 provided on the bottom 13 can include one or more of the following:
It is certain
It is decidedly so
Without a doubt ;
Yes— definitely You may rely on it As I see it, yes Most likely j 1 .
Outlook good
Signs point to yes J
Yes
Reply hazy, try again Ask again later Better not tell you now Cannot predict now Concentrate and ask again Don't count on it My reply is no My sources say no Outlook not so good Why not only young once Very doubtful Go for it!
Don’t bother! j
In this manner, the user, whilst relaxing and de-stressing with a drink can have fun and can follow the “answer” which may lead to opportunities. At the least, it provides a point of discussion for a number of users who each possess an “answer” at the bottom of their bottles and such users can compare “answers”. The “answer” in some cases may not provide a practical use to the user apart from providing entertainment and fun.
In other embodiments, the text 15 can be a motivational quote which replaces the answers above or is added thereto. Examples of such motivational quotes include: "Always do what you are afraid to do." “Take calculated risks. That is quite different from being rash.” “Storms make oaks take roots.” “If you do not hope, you will not find what is beyond your hopes.” “Seek the lofty by reading, hearing and seeing great work at some moment every day.” “The only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible.” “Without inspiration the best powers of the mind remain dormant. There is a fuel in us which needs to be ignited with sparks.” “And all may do what has by man been done.” “Work spares us from three evils: boredom, vice, and need.” “Men's best successes come after their disappointments.*1 “The best way out is always through.” “Do not wait to strike till the iron is hot; but make it hot by striking.” “Nothing will ever be attempted if all possible objections must first be overcome.” “Fortune favours the brave.” “He who hesitates is lost.”
Also, the text 15 can be information and/or advertising which replaces the above or is added thereto. Examples of possible helpful information and/or advertising include:
Need a new look? plasticsurgery.org.au
Bad teeth? Dentist.com.au
Bit sore all over? massage.com.au
Getting a bit rounder? meetyourpersonaltrainer.com.au
Help is available. Call Lifeline 131114.
The present invention thus provides an answer, entertainment, motivation, or information to the user or any combination thereof in a funny and light hearted manner, which provides the user with an interactive experience with the bottle. The user is provided with excitement and anticipation as to what the answer will be or what the next answer will be, when the user selects a bottle from the refrigerator or an ice box cooler (such as an ESKY). The user will want to pick the “right bottle” with the “right answer” from a number of other bottles, instead of normally just picking any bottle as in the past as they are all identical. The present invention thus provides a number of advantages. Further, the bottle or drink manufacturer may charge for the advertising and thus create a revenue stream.
In a modified embodiment, the text 15 can be covered by a removable cover, such as a peelable cover. This provides even more surprise and anticipation for the user and avoids “cheating” such as when a user reads the text on the bottom of bottles to search for a personally acceptable answer.
Additionally, the text 15 can be replaced or provided with a graphic, such as an artistic drawing or an “emoticon” which is a representation of a facial expression such as A happy face: © A sad face: ®
In other embodiments, the text and/or graphic can be applied to other portions of the drink vessel as desired, such as on the sides of the body portion (for example if the text and/or graphic is provided with a peelable cover) or under the cap/lid of the drink vessel.
It is apparent that the present invention is also applicable to other vessels such as beer cans, wine bottles, pre-mixed bottles, pre-mixed cans, soft drink bottles and soft drink cans. Preferably, such vessels are sold in multiple packs as a set (e.g. case of beer) and different “answers” are provided for each vessel.
The present invention also provides a label comprising a sheet material having a front surface and a rear surface, the front surface having text and/or graphic thereon being an answer, information, entertainment, motivational or any combination thereof, the rear surface being adapted to be attachable to an external surface of a drink vessel.
In this embodiment, the label is preferably removable from the drink vessel and attachable to another surface as desired, such as the user’s clothing to encourage the user to act on their received “answer”.
If desired, the label can also extend around base portions of the body as well as the bottom of the drink vessel.
