Abstract

A method to convert a wall faced toilet suite to a skew pan toilet suite that can be installed back to wall by drilling a hole with diamond drill bit on the side of a wall faced toilet pan relevant to the size of a P-trap outlet and connecting a P-trap outlet to the wall waste opening by appropriate flush pipe.

Description

EDITORIAL NOTE 2013101496 There are two pages of the description only A METHOD OF CONVERTING A WALL FACED TOILET SUITE TO SKEW PAN TOILET SUITE Summary of the Invention The present invention provides a skew toilet suite conversion method step comprising: Drilling a hole with diamond drill bit on side of wall faced toilet pan relevant to size of P-trap outlet and connect P-trap outlet to wall waste opening by appropriate flush pipe. Detail Description of the Invention The Various steps and components that isolation or combination form the method of conversion of the invention will now be described with reference to the drawing shown in Figures 1 to 5. Fig. 1 and Fig. la shows installation sites suitable for skew-pan toilet suite. The site comprises a floor, a back wall and a side wall with wall waste opening. The wall waste opening is located on the right hand side wall of the toilet suite when facing it in Fig. 1. The wall waste opening is located on left hand side wall of the toilet suite when facing it in Fig. la. As Fig. 1 and Fig. la shows, 'a' is the measurement from back wall to center of the wall waste opening and 'b' is the measurement from floor to center of the wall waste opening. Fig. 2 shows a wall-faced toilet suite before conversion with a P-trap outlet, which is a ceramic plush pipe pointing back of the toilet. The 'h' stands for the measurement from floor to center of the P-trap outlet. This measurement 'h' should be greater than the distance 'b' in Fig. 1 or Fig. la for the flow of waste. As shown in Fig. 3, a hole is drilled on the side of pan on the toilet suite, which placed against the back wall in Fig. 1 or Fig. la. The diameter of the hole is greater 90mm. The position of the hole drilled is determined by the distance 'x' and the height 'y. The distance 'x' is from the back of the toilet suite to the center of the hole and the height 'y' is from the floor to center of the center of the hole. The distance 'x' should be smaller than 'z' with allowance of an L-shape pipe bend, will be explained later in Fig. 3a. Fig. 3a shows an example of adapter connecting P-trap outlet to the wall waste opening in Fig.1 or Fig. la. The adapter has components of female inlet with flexible elastomeric seal, L-Bend, flush pipe, and male outlet with external elastomeric seal. The length of flush pipe male connection and male outlet with external elastomeric seal should be adjustable according to the hole, shown in Fig. 3 and wall waste opening in Fig. 1 or Fig. la. As shown in Fig. 4, the female inlet with flexible elastomeric seal is inserted into the P-trap outlet of toilet suite. As shown in Fig. 5, the flush pipe is inserted through the hole in Fig. 2 and connected to the female inlet with flexible elastomeric seal. All joints mentioned in Fig. 4 and Fig. 5 should be connected by plumbing glue required in the relevant standards. The male outlet should be inserted to the wall waste opening in Fig. 1 or Fig. la. The invention described above provide a simply way to convert wall-faced toilet suite to skew-pan toilet suite that can be installed back to wall. The converted wall-faced toilet suite can be used in the installation site shown in Fig. 1 or Fig. la.
