Abstract
This device is a cotton-toweling belt worn directly against the waist, or trunk, of the body concealed underneath the top garment of the wearer. In the event of strenuous activity the perspiration from the top of the body would run down the wearer's body and be absorbed into the "absorbent" belt before the perspiration is able to reach the wearers undergarments and overgarments.
Description
1 DESCRIPTION TITLE OF INVENTION "Waist It" TECHNICAL FIELD This is a device (belt) worn around the waist or trunk of a person's body to absorb their perspiration. BACKGROUND [0001] In many sporting activities that produce a great deal of perspiration it is inevitable that the perspiration travels down the individual's body, eventually being absorbed into the individual's undergarments and overgarments. This then produces an uncomfortable wet situation and feeling in these garments. [0002] This "absorbent" belt is made to absorb body fluids/perspiration from individuals and is to be worn around the waist against the body. This belt would enable the wearer to absorb their perspiration from their upper body to prevent their perspiration from wetting their undergarments and overgarments below the waist. It is mainly used, but not limited to, sporting activities. SUMMARY OF INVENTION [0001] This device is a cotton-toweling belt worn around the waist or trunk of an individual to absorb their perspiration before the perspiration is able to reach the wearers undergarments and overgarments.
2 [0002] This "absorbent" belt is made to be worn around the waist, or trunk of the body, directly against the body and underneath the overgarments; namely shirts, tops and vests. It will then be concealed after these top clothes so that the normal sporting activities can be carried out. [0003] During the exercise, perspiration will build up and start to wet the tops/shirts/clothes of the wearer. Some of this perspiration will be absorbed by these overgarments. Further perspiration will continue to run down the upper body and eventually be absorbed into the lower undergarments (underwear), and lower overgarments; shorts, skirts, trousers etc. [0004] Dependent upon the nature of the sport being undertaken it is sometimes difficult, inconvenient, embarrassing or impossible for the individual to remove and change their overgarments and undergarments in front of others. [0005] This device obviates the need to change the "wet" undergarments and overgarments by absorbing the excess perspiration before it wets these garments. [0006] In the event that the absorbent "sweat" belt gets full of perspiration, it can be unobtrusively removed and changed for a new clean and dry belt once it becomes too wet or uncomfortable to wear. [0007] This absorbent "sweat" belt is made from toweling cotton (3) for comfort, covering an absorbent sponge strip (4) inside the cotton belt. To secure the sponge strip inside the belt to the toweling cotton would be by stitching (5). This would create a number of absorbent sponge segments (6) around the belt which would absorb the perspiration and secure the inside sponge to the toweling cotton outside. [0008] The fastening of this absorbent belt is by the pressing of the Velcro fixing straps (1, 2) at the end of the belt.
3 ADVANTAGEOUS EFFECTS OF INVENTION [0001] Dependent upon the nature of the sport being undertaken it is sometimes difficult, inconvenient, embarrassing or impossible for the individual to change their undergarments and overgarments in front of others. [0002] The toweling cotton belt is to be made for comfort wearing and to be able to be easily, quickly and unobtrusively removed and changed for a new clean dry belt once it becomes too wet and uncomfortable to wear. It can either be disposed of after used or reused.
