Abstract
Abstract Doubles Handball is a game that requires the use of both hands and thereby both sides of the body. It is played by two people with a palm sized disc shaped bat made of wood or preferably plastic, strapped to each hand. The players face each other across a delineated zone. The object is for each player to use both hands equally to play the game not one hand or the other like most bat and ball games. The ball is taken and returned by the server using the opposite hand from which it was served. Likewise, the receiver hits the ball with the opposite hand when it reaches them. The rules allow for use of palms or backs of the hands or the knuckles provided both players do so simultaneously. A comparatively safe sport, it is useable by the disabled.
