Abstract
The present invention is an tile or statue, designed for outdoor use, which has cremation ashes mixed throughout a concrete, plaster (or other suitable) mix to create a memorial product for people or pets. The ashes remain able to be touched by loved ones instead of being locked away in a cold and inaccessible receptacle. Drawings Figure 1 and 2 Figure 3 Figure 4 Figure 5 and 6
Description
Description Description Title of invention [01]. Cremation tile or statue. Field of the invention [02]. The field of invention is cremation memorabilia (people or pets). Summary [03]. Cremation ashes of people or pets are usually stored in urns or other receptacles which are only either suitable for indoor use (e.g. urns), or alternatively are suitable for outdoor use but are locked away in a receptacle, away from direct touch (e.g. in an immobile cremation plaque or a mobile memorabilia unit in which a receptacle is placed). [04]. This invention differs because the person's or pets ashes are not held within a receptacle unable to be touched, but instead mixed (infused) throughout the concrete or plaster mix - to create an ashes infused garden tile or statue. This allows pet owners or people's relatives to readily have tactile contact with the ashes of their loved one or pet, without them being 'locked away' but still being secured within a product. The additional benefits of the product are that owners or relatives may see the product as the embodiment of the loved ones. This product will also be useful for renters or people who move residencies to take their loved ones with them by simply removing the tile or statue. The product is capable of casting more than one tile or statue, without relatives or loved ones having to divide ashes. This may be useful for families or friends who for example, have had pet sharing arrangements during the pet's life and both wish to have a tile or statue of their pet. Description of Embodiments [05]. The garden tiles can be used as actual stepping stones or pavers in the garden (if desired). For pets, garden tiles can be cast with the likeness of the departed pet on the tile or a paw print (or other representation of the pet). For statues, these can be cast in the likeness of the pet - or for people, in a configuration nominated by relatives or friends. Brief description of drawings [06]. The following is a description of the drawings: Figures 1 and 2: receive ashes - pet or human loved one' s ashes are received and poured into concrete/ plaster (or other suitable mix). Figure 3: The ashes are stirred throughout the mix so that ashes will become integrated into the product as a part of it rather than having something inserted into it. Figure 4: pour into the mix into a mould (e.g. for stepping stones, garden tile or other outdoor ornamental) or into a statute shape (e.g. of pet or person or abstract shape) Figure 5: set mould. Figure6: remove from mould. 1
