1 AUSTRALIA Patents Act 1990 COMPLETE SPECIFICATION INNOVATION PATENT EuroaluminiumTM - Thermal Break Bi-Fold Series - Jamb E5204 The following statement is a full description of this invention, including the best method of performing it known to me: 2 Euroaluminium TM - Thermal Break Bi-Fold Series - Jamb E5204 Across Australia, the energy efficiency bar is being lifted with the rise in energy ratings from 5 to 6 stars becoming mandatory for all new residential buildings. Energy ratings apply to the whole building - not just individual elements or materials - and the mandatory star energy ratings are not easy to achieve unless the individual building elements are designed with that intention. This invention has been specifically devised in order to help solve this problem and provide improved energy efficiency to our windows and doors in order to meet the mandatory 6 star energy efficiency rating on new residential buildings. The Euroaluminium TM - Thermal Break Bi-Fold Series - Jamb E5204 - is comprised of a frame profile that is 78mm wide and 58.7mm high. It has a square edged construction with the allowance for various adapters so that it can be clipped together with other sections to make a complete door / window frame. Mass = 2.344 kg/m, Anodising Perimeter (AP) = 405 mm, Paint Perimeter (PP) = 104 mm. Moments of inertia I x( = 12.7 cm 4 , I yy = 43.5 cm. The Euroaluminium T M - Thermal Break Bi-Fold Series - Jamb E5204 can be used to make door frames and window frames. The extruded aluminium sections are made from homogenised alloy billets with limited composition tolerances, suitable for anodising or painting. The Euroaluminium T M - Thermal Break Bi-Fold Series - Jamb E5204 - is made from aluminium and could not be made from any other material.
3 In order to create a profile, a die must be created first using the dimensioned design drawing with a tolerance of + 0.1 or - 0.05 and the aluminium is then extruded from that die. Extrusion is defined as the process of shaping material, such as aluminium, by forcing it to flow through a shaped opening in a die. Extruded material emerges as an elongated piece with the same cross section shape as the die opening. 58.7mm high. It has a square edged construction with allowance for various adapters so that it can be clipped together with other sections to make a complete door / window frame. 2.
