Abstract
The Groove Wizard: Is a cleaning tool designed for removal of dirt, grime and mould from difficult to clean grooves around your house. This cleaning tool has been designed with Sliding Door and Sliding Window tracks, Shower Screen tracks and general hard to reach areas in mind. The tool would be a double ended lightweight handheld tool likely made from a sturdy type of moulded plastic with fittings on either end for interchangeable heads to be attached. One end of the tool would have a brush head attachment and the other end would be a firm foam or cloth head. The brush head end would have a stiff bristled, non-abrasive brush similar in shape to a narrow toothbrush, however be larger, have longer bristles and a slightly tapered, pointed end that would enable the user to get right into tracks and corners. This would be used to loosen up dirt and grime for easy removal. The opposite end would be a firm sponge or cloth type head, long and narrow enough to get into grooves and corners and wipe out dirt and grime. This head would also have an angled, pointed end to ensure users could get right into corners. Specification Innovation Patent The Groove Wizard is a Sliding Window and Door Groove Cleaning Tool The following statement is a full description of this invention, and includes the best method of performing it known to me: The Groove Wizard: Is a cleaning tool designed for removal of dirt, grime and mould from difficult to clean grooves around your house. This cleaning tool has been designed with Sliding Door and Sliding Window tracks, Shower Screen tracks and general hard to reach areas in mind. * The tool would be a double ended lightweight handheld tool made from a sturdy type of moulded plastic with fittings on either end for interchangeable heads to be attached. * The handle of the tool would be ergonomically designed with a hand grip for comfort and ease of use. * One end of the tool would have a brush head attachment and the other end would be a firm foam or cloth head. * The brush head end would have a stiff bristled, non-abrasive brush similar in shape to a narrow toothbrush, however be larger, have longer bristles and a slightly tapered, pointed end that would enable the user to get right into tracks and corners. This would be used to loosen up dirt and grime for easy removal. * The opposite end would be a firm sponge or cloth type head, long and narrow enough to get into grooves and corners. This head would also have an angled, pointed end to ensure users could get right into corners. * The cleaning head end of the Groove Wizard would be used to wipe out the dirt and grime previously loosened by the brush. * Both the brush head and cleaning head end can be rinsed after each use and re-used * The Groove Wizard heads would come with a variety of different sized heads for different jobs, with scope for different shaped heads for different jobs. * Replacement heads would be available for interchanging rather than throwing out the whole tool each time the heads wear. * The ability to rinse and re-use and obtain replacement heads would reduce waste. Claims (5)
1. A double ended handheld cleaning tool designed to loosen and remove dirt from sliding window, sliding door and shower screen tracks and grooves and any other difficult to reach areas around the home.
2. One end of the tool would be a brush head end. This has a stiff bristled, non-abrasive brush similar in shape to a narrow toothbrush, however larger, have longer bristles and a slightly tapered pointed end that would enable the user to get right into tracks and corners. This would be used to loosen up dirt and grime for easy removal.
3. The opposite end would be a firm sponge or cloth type head, long and narrow enough to get into grooves and corners and wipe out grime. This head would also have an angled, pointed end to ensure users could get right into corners.
4. The Groove Wizard heads would come with a variety of different sized heads for different jobs, with scope for developing different shaped heads for different jobs.
