Abstract

Abstract The way in which this device would be use is mainly for the purpose to advertise. It would consists of small messages or jingles maximum of 20seconds in length. The device is a small six pin processor is programmed with a melody to be played back through a piezo speaker. A lithium button cell provides the power and a leaf switch closes when the card is opened, turning the music on. The circuit is very simple and consists of just four components: the battery, microcontroller, piezo speaker and switch. The microcontroller is one of the smallest six pin PIC I OF series manufactured by Microchip, this is the same device used in musical greeting cards, first used by hallmark.

Description

Description My innovation is to use the same device used in singing greeting cards to advertise a product in a magazine. Instead of having the device recorded with a song, it would instead have a jingle or phrase relating to the advertisement. The device would have a chip in which the words are recorded and a speaker. The device would be placed in between a two blank pages with the advertising on top and the message would play every time the magazine is opened to that particular page (creating no disturbance to the rest of the magazine) I have already made a prototype and it works.
