Description

1 Description Auto Switch off system for 240V AC power using remote control for zero emitting standby power option, with individual ???permanent power on??? switches for each socket, for mains power surge protection power board. 1. The system uses conventional energy saving auto switch off to all sockets using sensor in voltage change. However the power board uses complete switch off to all sockets including the master/main socket. This will emit complete zero standby power for all sockets, including master/main socket. This will save more amounts of power compared to conventional energy saving power boards (since the standby power emission is lowered to zero). When the main socket detects the power change, the complete power shut down will be triggered. However a given time of delay will occur to protect devices that need cooling down in standby, before total power off is prompted. 2. The standby power for the main socket can then be prompted to turn on by a remote controller sensor signal, received by the power board???s remote control sensor unit. The Remote control sensor unit will learn any 1 desired remote control sensor signal of any source that is connected to the main/master power outlet, for example the on/off button of a television. Once the button (of the learned remote control signal) is pressed from the remote control of source (such as the ON button from a TV remote), the main socket standby will turn on. Then by pressing the same button again (such as ON button of TV), this will turn the TV on (for example), prompting all other sockets to turn on for standby power (after sensing the voltage change in the master/main socket).
2 3. The remote control sensor unit will also include a push button, to prompt the standby power to turn on for the main/master socket. This will be used for cases where remote control sensor is not applicable, such as laptop or PC applications, or when TV remote can???t be found or is lost. 4. Individual switches are present for each socket other then the master/main. This allows the selected sockets to stay ON, after the master/main & following sockets have been powered down.

Claims (4)

1. Auto trigger system for all power shutdown (zero standby power) to all sockets on power board, including master/main socket with sensor, with power off delay to protect devices that need to cool down in standby
2. Remote control sensor unit that prompts standby power on to all sockets
3. Remote control sensor unit push button function to prompt all standby power on to all sockets without need of remote control signal
4. Individual switches are used on each sockets to allow power to stay on, on selected sockets, after total power off has been prompted by the auto total standby power off (trigger) function.
