Editorial Note Application No. 2010100319 There is one page of description My invention is the "Wheelbox", which I have designed to utilise the space that is otherwise wasted inside the rim of a spare wheel, when externally attached to or mounted on a vehicle. Essentially, the "Wheelbox" is a contoured round container made out of metal, plastic or composite materials and it is securely fastened inside the rim of the spare wheel, utilising or extending existing mounting points. Due to the extensive range of wheel types on the market a number of different sizes and shapes will be available (as detailed in the attached drawing/specifications). The detachable and lockable lid and the ease of external accessibility will make the Wheelbox a very secure and practical vehicle accessory. As an added benefit, the Wheelbox significantly reduces the need to padlock the spare wheel for security purposes. The contents of the Wheelbox vary depending on the model purchased. There will be a number of different versions of the Wheelbox on the market and each will serve its own unique purpose. Whether the purchaser is an avid explorer of the great outdoors or a professional truck driver needing to store recovery and/or breakdown gear, that is easily accessible, there will be a version to suit a number of different requirements and professions.
