Description

Australian Patents Act 1990 - Regulation 3.2 Original Complete Specification Australian Government Standard Patent IP Australia Subject to the provisions of the Patents Act, information provided on this form may be made publicly available, including on the Internet. Invention Title Drill Mat Template The following statement is a full description of this invention, including the best method of performing known to me: When pest controllers need to install a perimeter chemical termite barrier around a building and there are concrete areas they h1ave to drill through the concrete at 200mm spacings, inject the termicide and cap the holes. (To be in accordance with the Australian Standards 3660.2 or the chemical label). At present pest controllers will use a tape measure to obtain the correct spacings or have a piece of timber with the spacings marked on it to guide them. With the rubber drill mat template the spacing holes.are already in it at 200mm intervals, these holes are protected with a metal eyelet. The drill mat template holes are measured at 150mm and 200mm spacings from the top of the mat so that when it is placed up against the building you are constantly drilling the same distance from the wall at all times. Therefore you have the option of drilling a line of holes at 200mm spacings apart at a distance of 150mm from the wall or at 200mm spacings at 200mm from the wall depending on where you want to drill in regards to the width of the buildings footings under the concrete area you are drilling. Once you have drilled all the holes in the template you just have to slide the mat further along the wall lining up the end of the mat with the last hole and continue drilling.
