Description

1 Description A framework supports any type of porous material over a pond or a receiving tray. Liquid that is required to be evaporated can be heated by passing it through a solar or other form of heater and is pumped to the top of the structure and is sprayed upwards into the air so it lands on the pond and the porous material. The porous material can be coloured black and exposed to sunlight to it is directly heated by solar energy. Additionally it is discharged from holes in pipes or from sprinker nozzles and it flows via gravity down and through the porous material. Wind passes through the structure and through the porous material. A fan or fans are mounted on or near the structure and draws or blows air through the structure and the porous material. Thus the rate of evaporation is accelerated.
