Description
Description Clothes hangers not in use usually hang on a rod or bar. There is currently nothing available specifically to keep spare clothes hangers stacked together in a portable container which prevents them from falling or twisting. I have designed two versions of a simple structure used to keep various types of clothes hangers tidy, manageable and easily transportable. Stacking the hangers from the wardrobe and carrying them to the ironing station where they stand against the wall in an organized stack ready for use.
The first version holds any triangular type hanger, wooden or plastic with fixed or movable hooks. It has a wood type base to give stability and uses curved metal rods as a frame over which the hangers fit, keeping them all in one position. This is tall and can hold approximately 30 hangers. The curved tops of the rods over which the hangers drop double as the handle to lift the stack by. This is well balanced, stands neatly against a wall and has no sharp edges if one should fall onto it.
The second version has similar dimensions but is made completely out of wrought iron therefore not requiring a wooden base for stability. This is just as useful but with different cost and d???cor appeal.
Claims (4)
1. The device uses three fixed rods forming triangular pyramidal shape over which the clothes hangers fit holding them securely in place.
2. The rods may be constructed of 6mm stainless steel or similar type wire and welded at the apex to give rigidity and to form a lifting point.
3. The based is of either wooden board or plastic with the rods fixed in place by self gripping caps, recessed into the base.
4. The second version is of similar shape constructed of wrought iron strap with extra reinforcing at the apex to allow the three legs to be decoratively curved at the feet which also form the base.
