Description
00 Description This invention relates to a garment of clothing which allows a mother to breastfeed without the need to lift up her top or other item of clothing worn on her upper body O and thereby exposing her stomach, waist and/or back or pulling down her top or other item of clothing worn on her upper body and thereby exposing the upper sections of her body and/or breasts.
00 SThis garment is designed not only for the mother who is at home or out during the breastfeeding months/years but also for the mums who may need to return to work but 00 Swish to continue breastfeeding and/or expressing throughout their working day. The garment is designed to allow the convenience of easy access to the breast whilst looking like any stylish women's item of clothing worn on the upper part of the body.
The greatest benefit is the comfort for mothers who can breastfeed in public without exposing themselves to unwanted stares and/or the elements, and for those who feel modest about feeding in public places especially around others who are not used to seeing a woman breastfeed her child.
The garment comprises two closeable openings in the front of the garment to provide access for breastfeeding The closeable openings form part of the front seams of which start above each breast and finish at the bottom of the garment The closeable openings can be fastened with (singularly or a combination of) a variety of devices which could include but are not restricted to: zippers thread, buttons, press-studs, hook eyes, lacings and Velcro(TM).
The garment can be a shirt, blouse or dress, or any type of garment that can be worn on the upper part of the body. The garment can be sleeved such as, but not restricted to short, cap, three quarter, mid, long/full length or sleeveless. There are no restrictions on the type of material used to produce the garment.

Claims (2)
- 3. Claim 1 can be but is not limited to the following styles: Shirt, blouse or dress or any type of garment worn on the upper part of the body; sleeveless, cap, mid length, three quarter and long/full length sleeves; collared collarless and mandarin collars; cuffless, standard cuffs and french/double cuffs.
- 4. Claims 1, 2 and 3 can have decorative details consisting of but not limited to: pockets lace, ruffles, patterns, buttons, zippers, tassels, beads, thread and embroidery. Claims 1, 2 and 3 can be produced in but not limited to the following types of fabric: bamboo, cotton, bamboo/cotton, chiffon, lace, jersey, linen, polyester, silk, jacquard, nylon, stretch, ramie, tricot and denim.
