Patents Act 1990 COMPLETE SPECIFICATION INNOVATION PATENT DRUM TIPPING CONVERTER The following statement is a full description of the Drum Tipping Converter invention, including method of use.
00 -2- C Drum Tipping Converter.
C Over many years workshops have use various kinds of containers for the disposal of waste. These have often been either small open topped 20L cans up to the well known 205L (44 gallon) drum with the top removed.
00 Methods for empting for the larger drums have been many and varied and have often been quite unsafe.
00 In the current working environment it is no longer acceptable to handle these receptacles Sin a dangerous manner.
With the "Drum Tipping Converter" I have sought to address the issues of worker safety along with the need to provide an inexpensive answer to the needs of even the smallest workplace that has access to a forklift truck.
The design comprises a base with forklift slots, hinge rod and bin attachment undercarriage.
The design needed to be such that any person with a shifting spanner could attach this item to a standard drum.
Variation on the design would be to allow for other drum shapes/sizes.
The item is made of steel but could also be made of aluminium/stainless steel or indeed any metal/composite available on the market today.
Included with this specification is a drawing and some photos.
The photos show the attachment fitted to a typical drum.

- 2. A Drum Tipping Converter as claimed in claim 1 that can be easily attached to a drum with a spanner.
- 3. A Drum Tipping Converter as claimed in claim 1 2 that is made of stainless steel _or most other metal/composites. 00 4. A Drum Tipping Converter as claimed in claim 1-3 that is fitted with wheels/castors. C 5.
