Pge. 2C) Idea relates to MAIL BOX WIRELESS COMMUNICATOR MAIL HANDLER with integrated /WAN/VPN/device for handling electronic and regular mails by notifying sender details O and mail recipient identity over 802.11 wireless transmit ion protocol to service provider users data base.
Idea of invention is mail box peripheral located and registered at user physical address or P.O. box with locking system capable to communicate wireless over WAN/VPN 802.1 lconnection to central service provider server with access to post mailing sorting system and user P.C. and unlock mail box by exposing delivery approved file number printed on mail envelope or parcel to verify recipient details in the case of delivery trough mail box physical address. Sender can download service provider directory Ssoftware to send mail correspondence electronically or by regular delivery trough post mailing system.
Mail box purpose is that any unauthorized mail or parcel without issued file number from service Cc provider data base is unable to recognize mail box peripheral registration details to approve delivery trough post mailing system and will be automatically declined. Central server provide service by collecting sender details to recipient incoming mail files classified by:date and name of sender and backing up information to sender about status of mail by confirming delivery.
CThe advantage of invention is that electronic or regular mail correspondence can be sent by using central service provider server down loadable software connected wireless 802.11 to post mailing sorting department and user, mail box peripheral to user P.C. The mail or parcel items passing sender and rrecipient identity notification to approve delivery by issuing item file number to recipient mail box at physical location as a part of residential recognition such is not case by using e-mail by verifying only user P.C. address Also all regular mail instantly passing security check and identify sender and recipient trough delivery approval captured in data base. User can access his mail box files any time by lodging in his classified data base mailing storage. At user request service provider sending and hard copy of statements about stored files. It is practically and economical way for user to communicate electronically wireless with ability to log and download service provider software over palm computers and new generation mobile phones to send text messages trough regular post mailing system and have confirmation of delivery at physical address by avoiding stamps,envelopes, and courier delivery expenses.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION According to a first aspect of the invention there is provided a method of posting and tracking mail with file number into a mail box, the method comprising the steps of: A. swiping a bar code file number provided on an item of mail across a bar code reader associated with a said mail box whereupon the bar code reader decodes the file number to obtain details of recipient and sender over wireless 802.11 connection to data base and after approval item of mail being posted.
B forwarding the decoded file number to a computer means adapted with a bar scanning device connected over wireless 802.1 WAN connection to data base means, or access to a data base means,and querying the data base means to determine whether the sender of the item of mail has clearance for posting the mail into said mailbox,and if server data base means determines that the sender of the mail is cleared to post the mail, C transmitting a clearance signal to the bar code scanner configured and adapted to activate a locking mechanism that moves from a locked position to an unlocked position to provide access into mail box and: D allowing the item of mail to be posted into mail box whereupon when the means of access into mail box is closed,the locking mechanism will be triggered to move from the unlocked to the locked position to prevent any unauthorized posting of mail into the mail box.
Preferably the method further comprises step E. of the computing means transmitting a data file identifying details of the sender and the posted item via a data communication mens to the holder of the mail box.
Desirably in step B. communication data base is update able by the service provider over wireless 802.11 connection to approve or decline mail sender identification up to date.
Advantageously in step D. of the method the data file is transmitted by a wireless communication means to the computer means. Desirably in step d. the data file is transmitted by a wireless 802.11 communication means to a suitable receiver mens feeding data to the computer means and the receiver means being located remotely.
Preferably in step D. the datafile for each item of mail is sent over a global computer network to the mail box holder,the mail box holder having suitably configured computer software for opening and reading details of stored data files.
Zivo" ilivojevi Pge. 11 O Optionally in step C. activation is triggered by the server means communicating a clearance S command signal to bar code scanning device adapted to be electrically associated with a latching S solenoid relay for activation thereof, the relay having a sliding bar plunger that is spring biased in the normally open position, and whereupon an electrical pulse from the bar code reader means activates the relay to pull the plunger into the solenoid to move the plunger from an extended NI locked position preventing access to the mail box to an unlock position to allow access to the S mail box.
According to a second aspect of the invention there is provided an apparatus for receiving a mail C with approved delivery from data base over wireless 802.11 connection,mail receptacle having at least one compartment adapted for receiving bar coded envelopes and packages containing mail N, correspondence,the receptacle having a base, sides and a top,and wherein the receptacle is adapted with a door providing access into the mail receptacle, the door being associated with a door locking ,I mechanism configured and arranged for locking and unlocking the door,and a bar code reader being mounted to the receptacle and being adapted to communicate over WAN wireless 802.11 connection with data base and a user computer,means provided with WAN/VPN device,means associated with post mailing system database,the computer means being suitably programmed to query the database means to determine authority of a sender to post any mail in th mail receptacle and being adapted to communicate a sender clearance file number to the bar code reader adapted to be electrically associated with a door locking mechanism, in use, to unlock the door to allow access into the mail receptacle when a said item of mail has been cleared for posting into the receptacle by the server means.
Preferably the door locking mechanism is a latching solenoid relay having a sliding bar plunger having a spring that is biased in the normally open position, in the use,to be activated with electrical pulse to pull in the plunger to an unlocked position to allow access to the mail box,and when deactivated the spring will force the plunger back to en extended locked position.
Optionally advertising indicia is provided on the outside faces of the mail receptacle to enable the the mail receptacle to be used as a form of bill board.
Desirably the mail receptacle is made of stainless steel material.
According to a third aspect of the invention there is provided a system for receiving a mail approved from data base server including a mail receptacle means having at least one compartment adapted for receiving bar coded envelopes and packages containing mail correspondence, the receptacle having a base,sides and top, and wherein the receptacle includes a door providing a means of access into mail receptacle, the door being associated with a door locking mechanism configured and arranged for locking and unlocking the door,a bar code reader being associated with the receptacle and being accessible by users seeking to post bar coded mail into mail receptacle,the bar code reader being adapted to communicate with server means provided with WAN/VPN wireless802.11 connection, means bar code scanning device being suitable programmed to receive quires from data base means and determine the status of any mail with printed file number being posted in the mail receptacle and communicating sender clearance or not adapted to be electrically associated with a door locking mechanism,in use, to pulse the locking mechanism to unlock the door an allow access into the mail box means

Claims (16)

1. A method of posting and tracking bar coded mail into a mail box, the method comprising the steps of: a. swiping a bar code identification file number provided on an item of mail across a bar code reader associated with a said mail box whereupon the bar code reader decodes the file number to obtain details of the sender over service provider data base and the item of mail being posted. b. forwarding the decoded file number over 802.11 wireless connection for primary and backup connectivity or access to a server data base means, and querying the bar code file number means to determine whether the sender of he item mail has a clearance for posting the mail into the said mail box, and if the server data base means approve that the sender of the mail is cleared to post the mail. c. transmitting a clearance signal to the bar code reader configured and adapted to activate a locking mechanism that moves from a locked position to an unlocked position to provide access into mail box; and d. allowing the item of mail to be posted into mail box whereupon when the means of access into the mail box is closed, the locking mechanism will be triggered to move from unlocked position to the locked position to prevent any unauthorized posting of mail into the mailbox.
2 A method according to claim 1 further comprising step e. of the computing means transmitting a datafile identifying details of the sender and the posted item of mail stored in user file database via a data communication means to the holder of the mail box.
3. A method according to claim 1 wherein in step b. mail box database means is update able by the server over 802.11 wireless connection to keep list of approved mail sender identification codes up to date.
4. A method according to any one of the preceding claims wherein in step b. the datafile is transmitted by a wireless communication means to the computer means.

6. A method according to claim 4 wherein in step e. the datafile for each item of mail is sent over a global computer network to the mail box holder. The mail box holder has suitable configured computer software for opening and reading data base files.
7 A method according to any of the preceding claims wherein in step c. activation is triggered by the server means communicating a clearance command signal to the bar code reader adapted to be electrically associated with a latching solenoid relay for activation thereof, relay having a sliding bar plunger that is spring biased in the normally open position, and whereupon an electrical pulse from the bar code reader means activates the relay to pull the plunger into the solenoid to move the plunger from an extended locked position preventing access to the mail box to an unlock position to allow access to the mail box.
8. An apparatus for receiving of mail with bar coded file number,the apparatus including a mail receptacle having at least one compartment adapted for receiving bar coded mail file number printed on mail envelopes and packages containing mail correspondence, the receptacle having a base, and a top, and wherein the receptacle is adapted with a door providing access into the mail receptacle, the door being associated with a door locking mechanism configured and arranged for locking the door, and bar code reader being mounted to the receptacle and being adapted to communicate with database server means provided 802.11 wireless device means or being associated with active data base means, the computer means being suitably programmed to query the database means to determine the authority of a sender to post any mail with printed file number in the mail receptacle and being adapted to be electrically associated with a door locking mechanism, in use, to unlock the door to allow access into the mail receptacle when a said item of mail has been cleared for posting into the receptacle by the computer means.

An apparatus according to claim 8 wherein the door locking mechanism is a latching solenoid relay having a sliding bar plunger spring that is biased in the normally open position, in use,to be activated with electrical pulse to pull the plunger to an unlocked position to allow access to the mail box, and when deactivated the spring will force the plunger back to an extended locked position. An apparatus according to claim 8 wherein advertising indicia is provided on the outside faces of the mail receptacle to enable the mail receptacle to be used as a form of ill board.

A system for receiving bar coded mail, system including a mail receptacle means having at least one compartment adapted for receiving bar code printed envelopes and packages containing mail correspondence, the receptacle having a base,sides and a top,and wherein the receptacle includes a door providing a means of access into the mail receptacle, the door being associated with a door locking mechanism configured and arranged for locking and unlocking the door,a bar code reader being associated over 802.11 wireless connection to data base server and being accessible by users by seeking to post mail into protected receptacle, the bar code reader being adapted to communicate with computer means provided software for access database, means or being associated with server database means, quires from the computer means being programmed to access server database files means and determine the status of any mail being posted in mail receptacle and communicating a sender clearance code to the bar code reader means adapted to be electrically associated with a door locking mechanism, in use, to pulse the locking mechanism to unlock the door and allow access into the mail receptacle when a said item of mail been cleared for posting by database server means.
13. A system in accordance with claim 12 wherein the server data base means is configured to forward sender details of each item of mail being scanned to the mail box holder regardless of whether the item of mail was posted or not.
14. A method of tracking bar coded mail and screening mail being posted into a mail box according to claim 1 substantially as a herein described.
