0 ~Attachment Arrangement Technical Field This invention is generally related to an attachment arrangement and more specifically, to an arrangement comprising a quilt and a cover for the quilt and an item of furniture and an accessory for the furniture item.
In today's modern age, people are spending more and more time in front of the television.
SFoxtel subscriptions, video on demand, DVDs and game consoles ensure that consumers spend increasing amounts of time in the lounge or sitting room on the couch. To increase their comfort, couch users often use bedroom furniture, and most often, the duvet or quilt from the bedroom. A disadvantage commonly experienced with duvets is that the duvet collects or accumulates at the bottom or in a corner of the duvet cover. This results in inconvenience, both from the point of view of comfort and appearance.
A need therefore exists for a duvet or quilt arrangement that overcomes or at least ameliorates these disadvantages.
Summary According to one aspect of the present invention there is provided a quilt comprising first attachment means for attaching a cover having second complementary attachment means.
According to another aspect of the present invention there is provided a cover comprising first attachment means for attaching a quilt having second complementary attachment means.
According to another aspect of the present invention there is provided a furniture item comprising first attachment means for attaching an accessory having second complementary attachment means.

According to another aspect of the present invention there is provided an attachment arrangement, comprising a quilt and a cover for the quilt wherein the quilt and the cover comprise one or more complementary attachment means for attaching the quilt to the cover.

Detailed description Fig. I is a top view of a quilt arrangement in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention. The quilt arrangement 100 comprises a quilt 105 and a quilt cover 110.
In the context of this specification, the definition of quilt includes any construction or arrangement of fabric, cloth, batting, wadding or material in a manner to afford any of the utility reasonably expected from duvets, bedding, blankets, pillows, cushions, linen, throws, rugs or sheets.
The quilt 105 includes one or more attachment means 120.
So too does the quilt cover 110 comprise one or more quilt cover attachment means 115.
The quilt cover attachment means 115 and the quilt attachment means 120 are complementary and proximally located so as to enable the quilt 105 to be attached, fastened or anchored to the quilt cover 110.
980606 3 The quilt 105 may be inserted into the quilt cover 110. Alternatively, the quilt cover 100 O may only be attached to one side of the quilt 105.
The quilt attachment means 120 and quilt cover attachment means 115 may comprise buttons and respective complementary button holes. In one embodiment, the quilt attachment means 120 comprise button holes and the quilt cover attachment means 115 comprise a combination of buttons and button holes, wherein the buttons are attached to one inner side of the quilt cover 110 and protrude through the respective complementary S 10 button hole of the quilt 105 and attach to the respective complementary button hole on the opposite side of the quilt cover 110. In another embodiment, the quilt attachment means 120 comprise buttons and the quilt cover attachment means 115 comprise button holes, wherein the buttons are attached to one side of the quilt 105 and the buttons attach to the respective complementary button hole on one side of the quilt cover 110. In another embodiment, the quilt attachment means 120 comprise buttons and the quilt cover attachment means 115 comprise button holes, wherein the buttons are attached to both sides of the quilt 105 and attach to the respective complementary button holes on both sides of the quilt cover 110.
In other embodiments, the quilt attachment means 120 and quilt cover attachment means 115 comprise Velcro TM strips. In one embodiment, the quilt attachment means 120 and the quilt cover attachment means 115 comprise Velcro TM strips, wherein the Velcro TM strips are attached to one side of the quilt 105 and mate with respective complementary Velcro rM strips of the opposite gender on one side of the quilt cover 110. In another embodiment, the quilt attachment means 120 and the quilt cover attachment means 115 comprise Velcro TM strips, wherein the Velcro TM strips are attached to both sides of the

quilt 105 and mate with complementary Velcro TM strips on both side of the quilt cover 110.
980606 3 -4- O In other embodiments, the quilt attachment means 120 and quilt cover attachment means 115 comprise links and link holes. More specifically, a link is designed for insertion into a O link hole and comprises a mid section connected to a head at each end. The diameter of the link mid section is smaller than the diameter of the link hole so as to allow free traversal of the link midsection thought the link hole. The link head is designed so that in one mode of operation the diameter is larger than that of the link hole so as to prevent the _traversal of the head through the link hole. In one embodiment the quilt attachment means 120 comprise link holes and the quilt cover attachment means 115 comprise a combination of link holes and links, wherein the links protrude through the link holes of ,I 10 the quilt cover 110 and the quilt 105 so as to attach them together.
In other embodiments, the quilt attachment means 120 and quilt cover attachment means 115 comprise press studs. More specifically, a press stud comprises a male and a female portion that attach under applied force. In one embodiment, the quilt attachment means 120 and quilt cover attachment means 115 comprise press studs, wherein the press studs are attached to one side of the quilt 105 and mate with the respective complementary press stud of the opposite gender on one side of the quilt cover 110. In another embodiment, the quilt attachment means 120 and quilt cover attachment means 115 comprise press studs, wherein the press studs are attached to both sides of the quilt 105 and mate with the respective complementary press studs of the opposite gender on both sides of the quilt cover 110.
As those skilled in the art would appreciate, other means of attaching the quilt 105 to the quilt cover 110 may alternatively or additionally be practiced.
The attachment of the quilt to the quilt cover keeps the quilt in place inside the quilt cover and ensures that the quilt does not collect or accumulate in a particular region of the quilt cover.
980606 3 Fig. 2 shows an example of a furniture arrangement wherein a furniture accessory 210 is attached to an item of furniture 205. The item of furniture 205 may, for example, O comprise a couch, sofa, futon, bed, chair or a seat in a vehicle such as car, train, aeroplane, etc. The furniture accessory 210 is used in conjunction with the furniture item 205 as a cover; however, other uses include the utility reasonably expected from a pillow, a blanket, a floor cover or back support.
The furniture item 205 includes one or more furniture item attachment means 215. The attachment means may be located anywhere on or in the furniture item 205.
cI So too does the furniture accessory 210 comprise one or more furniture accessory attachment means 220. The furniture item attachment means 215 and furniture accessory attachment means 220 are complementary and proximally located so as to enable the furniture accessory 210 to be attached, fastened or anchored to the furniture item 205.
In certain embodiments, the furniture item attachment means 215 are buttons and the furniture accessory attachment means 220 are button holes, wherein the buttons of the furniture item 205 attach to the respective complementary button holes of the furniture accessory 210. In one embodiment, the furniture item attachment means 215 are buttons holes and the furniture accessory attachment means 220 are buttons, wherein the buttons of the furniture accessory 210 attach to the respective complementary button holes of the furniture item 205.
In other embodiments, the furniture item attachment means 215 and the furniture accessory attachment means 220 are Velcro TM strips, wherein the Velcro TM strips of the

furniture item 205 mate with the respective complementary Velco TM strips of the furniture accessory 210.

1. A quilt comprising first attachment means for attaching a cover having second 0 o complementary attachment means. IND
2. A cover comprising first attachment means for attaching a quilt having second complementary attachment means.
3. A furniture item comprising first attachment means for attaching an accessory having second complementary attachment means.

An attachment arrangement, comprising: a quilt; and a cover for said quilt; wherein said quilt and said cover comprise one or more complementary attachment means for attaching said quilt to said cover. An attachment arrangement according to claim 4 wherein said attachment means comprise buttons and button holes.
