Description

0 o DESCRIPTION 0 Device for dispensing and preventing oxidation of a liquid within a container O This device will allow the dispensing of a liquid from a container and prevent air from en3 O contaminating the said container and causing oxidation. eg when a bottle of wine it O is opened.
O The devise comprises a purpose built tap, a small length of tube and an oxygen barrier bag.
The tap has a tube fitted to its base and the barrier bag The container is opened, no liquid is removed and the device is applied in the following manner.
The tube is attached to the bag is inserted into the tap. Then the barrier bag is folded around the tube in such a manner that will allow the tube and the barrier bag to be inserted into the container.
With the bag inside the container and the tap inserted into the opening of the container as to provide an air tight fit, the container can then be tipped at an angle to allow the opening of the tap and the removal of the liquid.
As the liquid flows freely through the tap air is drawn in to container through a small air hole positioned within the tap and then down through the tube and stored in the barrier bag preventing the contence of the container from mixing with the air.
Because the air hole is permantly open the air in the bar is at normal atmospheric pressure and therefore there is no pressure stored within the container. The contensce are free to expand and contract
