Description

DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an innovation patent for one or both of an innovative business model and resulting new and innovative products.
Important Definitions/Concepts for this Patent: ?Carbon Footprint? is the amount of carbon dioxide that a person is responsible for releasing into the atmosphere due to their activities and purchases which were powered by fossil fuels.
?Carbon Credits? are instruments registered under a carbon trading scheme, that represent an amount of carbon dioxide removed or prevented from entering the atmosphere.
?Carbon Offsets? are created when carbon credits are "retired" meaning they can never again be traded. When someone buys a carbon offset, they have effectively paid for someone else to remove or prevent carbon dioxide entering the atmosphere, and thus reduce their own carbon footprint.
Carbon offsets are assigned to retail products and services, so that when a consumer purchases these retail products or services, their personal carbon footprint is reduced.
In other words, a consumer purchases our products to reduce their carbon footprint.
For example, we have created ?carbonwear?, such as shirts with carbon offsets. When a consumer buys the shirt, they reduce their carbon footprint.
