Description

Chi Comb.
The ?Chi Comb? makes uses the traditional Chinese medicine therapy of ?spooning?, point pressuring and combines it with modern day magnetic 0 therapy. ?Spooning? or ?Gua Sha? and point pressuring have been used for Z thousands of years to promote the flow of chi and blood throughout affected areas of a patients body, while dispersing stagnant energy and drawing out S?toxins? in the form of red welt like bruising. Modern magnetic therapy researchers make claim to the health promoting properties of magnets of certain strength and above.
cWe have combined these two therapies to produce as device that stimulates the skin and nerves on a superficial level while the magnetic field penetrates deeply into the body ?brushing? the internal aspect down to the cellular level.
The ?Chi Comb? promotes a sensation of dispersion and movement while providing a stimulating and soothing feeling on the skin.
SThe ?Chi Comb? has the ability to provide immediate relief of many of the N body?s aches and pain, from headaches and bruising, to arthritis and deep, visceral pain. A device like this can easily bring satisfactory relief of many conditions to anyone using it.
The general public and not just the practitioner of Chinese medicine can use the ?Chi Comb?. Static magnetic devices, such as bracelets and those sewn into materials and worn on the body or laid upon do not have the advantage of an ergonomic massage tool incorporated into their design, making the ?Chi Comb? a versatile device for the treatment of various ailments. Magnets used in this invention have a magnetism of 3000 Gauss, this is greater than a majority of health giving magnetic products available, and distinguishes it as a stronger therapy by those using it.
To assist with understanding the device I will outline what is presented in the drawing.
The comb is made of solid steel that has been chrome plated, and is 1.5 mm thick.
A. Teeth, 3mm wide and 10mm deep are cut into the base of the comb, separated by a gap of 1.5mm, creating friction and stimulation on the skin.
These teeth also guide the magnetic field to form teeth of its own.
B. Round projection on the side of the comb used for pressuring into the pressure points and specific areas of the body that also curves the magnetic field to emulate its shape.
C. 3000 Gauss magnets, 55mm long, 15mm wide and 3 mm thick, attach magnetically to either side of the comb, in any place the person desires.
D. A hole 3mm wide, allowing for the hanging of the device off a necklace or the like, if the person desires.
E. Curvature of the spine of the comb to fit ergonomically into the palm of the hand following the index finger to fit snugly into the thenar eminence of the thumb.
F. Etched elephant pattern into the metal to make the ?Chi Comb? aesthetically appealing.

Claims (5)

1. The ?Chi Comb? is an ergonomic device shaped to fit easily into the >hand, as defined in 0
2. The metallic teeth of the comb guide the magnetic field in such a way Z to create ?magnetic teeth? that extend from the teeth of the comb, to penetrate the body and essentially ?comb? the internal aspect, as defined in C?A?.
3. The comb has a small round projection on one side, the use of this Ndesign is for pressuring on a pressure point and certain areas of the body that N may be especially painful and would benefit from such an action, as defined
4. Two 3000 gauss magnets are attached to either side of the comb, as defined in These wrap a strong magnetic field around the comb that can penetrate five or more centimetres into the body, depending on where it is Strying to pass through bone or muscle. N
5. The magnets can be placed anywhere on the comb, providing versatility for strength and penetration. The magnets can also be placed over the teeth of the comb to smooth the sensation if the comb?s teeth irritate skin in sensitive areas.
