CONCRETE
The following is a full description of this invention, including the best method of manufacturing it known to me: COMS ID No: SBMI-01753025 Received by IP Australia: Time 09:33 Date 2005-10-17 17/10/2005 09:31 0398704765 ROBERT SALUAGND PAGE 03/06

S1 ci 0 Polystyrene Concrete
O
F--
Unlike other polystyrene concretes, which use polystyrene as the aggregate, the said Polystyrene Concrete has a major percentage of it's sand content replaced with O polystyrene dust. The dust used in the said concrete is a waste product from the o cutting of polystyrene blocks, slabs or other polystyrene products, it can also be Smanufactured if required by grinding or cutting blocks of polystyrene into a fine Spowder like dust.
0 C'i The method of manufacturing the said concrete is; Water with added Water Reducers, Plasticizers, Accelerators, Retardants, air entraining agents, workability agents damp proofing and permeability-reducing agents pozzolans, color pigments and miscellaneous materials or any admixtures, known or unknown.
Aggregate usually scoria however any lightweight aggregate, expanded shale, expanded clay, expanded slate, cinders, perlite, Pumice, Breeze, Clinker, Foamed Slag or any other aggregates known or unknown Sand, a minimal percentage of sand is used depending on the desired finish, this sand can be any size or material known or unknown. The major percentage of the sand is replaced with polystyrene dust- the amount depends on the strength, weight and volume required, the sand can be deleted completely if desired. RHEOMIX 600, RHEOMIX 600ES, DAREX BLOCK MIX or equivalent known or unknown, is added. These additives keep the water to an absolute minimum containing only sufficient water for the hydration of the cement and dispersing the cement throughout the mix, also allowing the polystyrene dust to disperse uniformly through the fresh concrete matrix with out floating to the surface.
Cement, GP Portland cement is used, however any type of Cement, High Early Strength, Off White, White, GB, Fly Ash, Steel and any other cement known or unknown.
Fibre, Polypropylene Fibre, Steel Fibre or any other fibre known or unknown is added to the said concrete. The small-fibrillated fibres mechanically lock in the fresh concrete matrix providing reinfrcement for the mixture.
