Travelling collection frame which lowers down onto a pack timber and picks up an entire layer of timber from a pack that has been placed on the infeed deck.
2. Positioning system to move the layer to the next zone to release the layer from the collection frame and place the layer on a dunking frame. At this point, the grade signifying that the timber is treated to certain standards may be applied.
3. Collection frame returns empty to collect the next layer whilst the dunking frame lowers the entire layer into a vat or tank filled with a treatment solution for a programmable set time.
4. When layer is extracted from the vat or tank it is moved forward to a "flashing-off' or drying zone to allow residual treatment solution to drain off.
Layer is then moved forward again to an automatic stacking zone where it is automatically re-stacked to a solid pack.
6. All zones of the system are linked so that whilst a new layer is taken form the infeed pack and carries forward to the dunking zone, the previously dunked layer is moved to the flash-off area, whilst the layer just flashed off is moved to the stacker for automatic stacking.
7. System may or may not include a fully monitored and adjustable and controlled solution system which mixes the solution chemical in a concentrated form with water and pump into the tank to ensure correct solution mix and levels.
8. This system is generally controlled by a Programmable Logic Controller but can also be controlled by a hard wired electrical control.
