COMPLETE SPECIFICATION INNOVATION PATENT Invention Title: Name of Applicant: Actual Inventor(s): Address for service: Portable Barbeque Tsann Kuen (CHina) Enterprise Co., Ltd Cai Yuansong Liao Gunghong WRAY ASSOCIATES Level 4, The Quadrant 1 William Street Perth, WA 6000 Attorney code: WR Details of Associated Provisional Application No(s): 200420039575.6 The following statement is a full description of this invention, including the best method of performing it known to me:- C "Portable Barbecue" Field of the Invention The present invention generally relates to a barbecue, in particular, to a portable 00 barbecue with changeable baking plate, adjustable gradient of the baking plate, S 5 and multi-way of baking.
Background In prior art, a barbecue generally includes an upper rectangular baking plate and a lower rectangular baking plate. The upper rectangular baking plate is connected to the lower rectangular baking plate by an annular handle which is pivotally connected to the lower rectangular baking plate. Both the upper and lower rectangular plates have an electric heating unit and a temperature adjusting component. Thus, the upper and lower baking plate may grip the food for baking, and does not need to invert the food frequently. In order to have the food heated more quickly, fully, and uniformly, some ribs are formed on the opposite side of the upper and lower baking plates to clamp beef, pork etc.
As above mentioned, the prior barbecue is convenient in baking beef, pork and other food that is difficult to be ripe. However, its function is too simple to be satisfied. For example, barbecues of this type are not suitable for baking mushroom, green pepper and other vegetables, and are not suitable for baking fragile foods such as fish, because fragile foods may easily be pressed to fragment. Barbecues of this kind are often held only in a horizontal position, however, for example, when baking bulk-oil food, in order to make the oil totally be broken away from the food, the baking plate must tilt in a certain angle, be I. 3 held on a skew surface or be lift up slightly, but doing these when baking is Sdangerous. In addition, when a barbecue of this kind is open, there is no carrier _around that the heat would be easily taken away, which may reduce the efficiency of baking, affect the taste of the food and make it easy for food to be 00 5 stuck with dust.
STherefore, a portable barbecue with changeable baking plate, adjustable 0 gradient of the baking plate, and multi-way of baking is needed to satisfy people.
Brief summary of the invention Throughout the specification and claims, unless the context requires otherwise, the word "comprise" or variations such as "comprises" or "comprising", will be understood to imply the inclusion of a stated integer or group of integers but not the exclusion of any other integer or group of integers.

-7o Brief description of the drawings SThe present invention will be described with greater specificity and detail through N the use of the accompanying drawings which relate to specific embodiments of oo the invention and in which: 5 Figure 1 is an exploded view of a portable barbecue with multi-way of baking, illustrating the barbecue is open and the corrugated side of the baking plate Nfaces up; Figure 2 is an exploded view of a portable barbecue with multi-way of baking, illustrating the barbecue is open and the flat side of the baking plate faces up; Figure 3 is an exploded view of a portable barbecue with multi-way of baking in folded position; Figure 4 is an exploded view of an L-shaped connector at front side of the base; Figure 5 is an exploded view of a portable barbecue with multi-way of baking; Figure 6 is an exploded view of the connection between adjusting foot and the base.
Detailed description of the specific embodiments With reference to Figure 1 to Figure 5, a portable barbecue with multi-way of baking includes a base 4, a baking plate 3, an upper cover 1 and a supporting frame 2. One side of the baking plate 3 is flat 32 while the other is corrugated.
-8- The flat side 32 of the baking plate 3 has at its edge an outlet 320, the opposite corrugated side also has at its edge an outlet 310. An oil box 10 is disposed in _the front side of the base 4 corresponding to outlets 310,320. When the corrugated side faces up, the outlet 310 is above the oil box 10 in the front side 0 5 the base 4; and when the flat side faces up, the outlet 320 is above the oil box 8 in the front side the base 4. This design enables both sides of the baking plate 3 t to be used in cooperation with the base 4. Figure 1 and Figure 2 shows the N different using states of the two sides of the baking plate 3.
A rear supporting bar 22, a right connecting bar 24, a front supporting bar 21 and a left connecting bar 23 form a rectangular frame which is the supporting frame 2. Both the left connecting bar and the right connecting bar 24 have at their rear portions a link 231 or 241 which extends downwards. The left connecting bar 23 and the right connecting bar 24 are pivotally connected to the rear side portions of the base 4 respectively by the link 231 and 241. The front supporting bar 21 and the rear supporting bar 22 are at the out edge of the base 4. The front supporting bar 21 is an outwards bended arc in shape. The upper cover 1 is secured to the left connecting bar 23 and the right connecting bar 24.
There are two triangular supporting plates 61 and 62 set on two sides of the inner side of the upper cover 1. The triangular supporting plates 61,62 are pivotally connected to the two sides of the inner side of the upper cover 1. A magnet 8 which could attract the ends of the two triangular supporting plates inside the upper cover 1 is set in the center of the inner surface of the upper cover 1. When the barbecue is in folded position, the supporting plates 61,62 are attracted to abut to the inner surface of the upper cover 1 by the magnet 8.
-9- The base 4 respectively has in its left and right flank two L-shaped supporting members 71,74 or 72,73. The L-shaped supporting members 71,72 are disposed _at the front portion of the base 4, while the L-shaped supporting members 73,74 are disposed at the rear portion of the base 4. The straight portion 711 of the L- 00 5 shaped supporting member 71 has its upper end curved to form an outward hook 8 which may hook on the side wall of the base 4. The horizontal portion 712 of the t L-shaped supporting member 71 may extend into the base 4. L-shaped N supporting member 72,73 or 74 has the similar structure with the L-shaped supporting member 71, and the structures of the L-shaped supporting member 72 and 71 are symmetrical. A slot 701 is set in the upper portion of the hook of both the L-shaped supporting member 71,72, and at the end of the supporting plate 61 and 62, there are two clips 611 and 621 which could buckle the slot 701.
The baking plate 3 is supported by the horizontal portions of the four L-shaped supporting members 71,72,73 and 74. The two front L-shaped supporting members 71,72 each has on its horizontal portion a socket 702, and at the relevant positions on the baking plate 3 there are short columns 33,34,35 and 36 which could be inserted through the socket 702. When the flat side 32 of the baking plate 3 faces up, the short columns 35,36 are inserted into the socket 702; when the corrugated side 31 of the baking plate 3 faces up, the short columns 33,34 are inserted into the socket 702.
An adjusting footing 51 is set at front left side of the base 4, an adjusting footing 52 is set at front right side of the base 4. The adjusting footing 51 and the adjusting footing 52 are wheels in shape. Two axial bushes 91,92 are respectively disposed in the eccentric position of the wheel-shaped adjusting o footings. The axial bushes 91,92 are sleeved on a rotation shaft 9 which is secured to the axial bushes 91,92 by splint pins 93,94. The axial bushes 91,92 are pivotally disposed through the axial hole 101 set at each front side of the base 4. Thus, the adjusting footing 51 and the adjusting footing 52 are secured 00 5 to each other, they may rotate along the rotation shaft 9 at the same time.
A spacer pin 56 which extends inward is set at the eccentric inner side of the adjusting footing 52, in the corresponding position on the base 4 there is a arc spacing slot 102 which is on a arc of a circle regarding the rotation axils 9 as the center and the distance between the rotation axils 9 and the spacer pin 52 as the radius. Because of the interference caused by the spacer pin 56 in cooperation with the arc spacing slot 102, the rotary movement of the adjusting footing 52 is limited in certain angle defined by the arc spacing slot 102.
The adjusting footing 52 has at its outer side a socket 520 which may be inserted with a hand grip 54. A locating shaft 540 which extends into the socket 520 is secured to the hand grip 54. This locating shaft 540 is inserted through the adjusting footing 52 and is jammed on its end by a jam lamella 542. A pressure spring 541 is sleeved on the portion of the locating shaft 540 between the jam lamella 542 and the adjusting footing 52. Two locating holes 103,104 are at corresponding position on the base 4, each is on the arc which regards the rotation shaft 9 as the center and the distance between the rotation shaft 9 and the locating shaft 540 as the radius. When the adjusting footing 52 rotates, the spacer pin 56 is moved in the arc spacing slot 102, then when the spacer pin 56 reaches the bottom of the arc spacing slot 102, the locating shaft is inserted into the locating hole 103 under the force of the pressure spring 541, which may lock -11- 0 the adjusting footing 52 in fixed position. On the contrary, when pulling out the hand grip 54, the locating shaft 540 is also pulled out from the locating hole 103, _which may unlock the adjusting footing 52. In addition, when the spacer pin is moved to the top of the arc spacing slot 102, the locating hole 104 also defines a oO 5 locking position.
The adjusting footing 51 in the left side of the base 4 and its connection structure to the base 4 are symmetric to the adjusting footing 52 in the right side of the base 4. The corresponding components are the hand grip 53, the locating shaft 530, spacer pin 55, pressure spring 531 and the jam lamella 532.
The hand grips 53,54 are pulled out to unlock the adjusting footings, and then is rotated to another locking position. During this course, because the rotation shaft 9 is secured to the adjusting footings 51,52 in eccentric position, the height the rotation shaft 9 relative to ground is changed, which allows the baking plate 3 to have different gradients.
With reference to Figure 1 and Figure 2, the barbecue is open. The supporting plates 61,62 are supporting the supporting frame 2 on the base 4. The supporting plates act a function of supporting and also act as a barrier in cooperation with the upper cover 1 to exclude the outer wind and dust. The adjusting footings 51,52 and the rear supporting bar 22 form the supporting structure of the barbecue, while the front supporting bar 21 acts as a handle.
With reference to Figure 3, the barbecue is folded, adjusting footings 51,52 and the front supporting bar 21 form the supporting structure of the barbecue, while the rear supporting bar 22 acts as a handle.
-12- The heating apparatus, which works by igniting the mixed gas of gas and air from the mixing pipe to heat the baking plate 3, is prior technology that is out of the _discussion scope of this patent.
oO The present invention may be embodied in other specific forms without departing N 5 from its spirit or essential characteristics. The described embodiments are to be considered in all respects only as illustrative and not restrictive. The scope of the invention is, therefore, indicated by the appended claims rather than by the foregoing description. All changes which come within the meaning and range of equivalency of the claims are to be embraced within their scope.
