BUSINESS CARD HOLDER The following statement is a full description of this invention, including the best method of performing it known to me: PHONE BOOK/DIRECTORY WITH BUSINESS CARD HOLDER This invention relates to the improvement of a phone book with the inclusion of a business card holder.
For many years a phone book or directory has consisted of purely printed material. People have used these books to look up business phone numbers and contact information.
This invention differs from traditional business directories as it also incorporates a physical plastic pocket business card holder within the directory. This enables people to safely store and retain their own personal business cards, as well as use the directory for its traditional function of accessing various business phone numbers and information.
The invention is deemed necessary as many businesses in today's workplace use business cards as a way of keeping in contact with their clients, and promoting their business services. However, as people tend to visit many places of business and collect many cards, business cards often get misplaced or thrown away. This invention has been specifically designed in order to provide an improved way to store and keep business cards in one handy place.
The plastic pocket business card holder, in accordance with this invention, comprises of a clear plastic sheet (approximately 20 x 25cm) with 8 individual pockets (approximately 9 x 5.5cm) where business cards can be safely stored front and back.
The plastic pocket business card holder is placed within the phone book/directory, enabling people to store their most important cards in a readily accessible book which they can use day-to-day as a local phone directory and reference guide. The plastic sheet is actually attached to the book with an adhesive binding substance, securing its position, and therefore allowing people to store business cards simply, effectively and retrieve them again efficiently. The device is also readily reusable, protects its contents from damage and ensures unintentional loss is avoided.
It will be acknowledged that the plastic pocket business card holder, according to this invention, is not restricted to the form of actual plastic as the material for the business card holder, but may use any other form of appropriate transparent material, such as PVC.
