Description
Corner-mate .machine A method of installing a piece of metal with a pre-punched hole, called corner or angle plate, into each channel at a corner of a square or rectangular duct's flange Fig.
6. The ducts then be joined to others end to end by mean of fastener at each of the corners Fig. 5. This invention has been devised in order to provide an automatic of fitting corners onto the duct and mobile ability. And all of its components are out-laid in such position that most shape of ducts can be vertically go-on. Fig.1.
The machine can, in accordance with this invention, using most available type of corners fit into any desired flange. With the comprising of a holder, said Magazine, which can accommodate the corners in such angle that allows the continuous feeding and a thickness of feeding blades, said Feeder to suit.
Follow by the duct locking, said Locker, which use for holding duct into appropriated position. The consisting of an air actuator, of which, will drive an arrow shape-like claim onto the corner of the duct by mean of a lever as soon as the duct is move into the machine's guide rails. Fig.2.
The pressing said Pusher, is using to press the cornet into a channel of a duct's flange. An air actuator also drives this via a set of lever. Fig.3.
The hammering said Hammer is in set of two and located so that, they are perpendicular to the two sides of the duct where will be bent to holding the corner firmly in place. Two separate air actuators directly drive this action. Fig.4.
According to this invention, beside automatic, mobile ability, effectiveness. It is also using minimal number of components, of which minimal maintenance and avoids an unnecessary break down.
Provide compressed air and electricity is connected. The machine operates as describe below.
The corners will be loaded into the magazine, said fifty at every once time; this allows the machine operate continuously. The machine cycle is beginning when an open corner duct is guided to the machine's guide rails 1. And triggered the two sensor witches 2, which will signal the locked 3 move forward, holding the duct 4 firmly in position. The Feeder 6 receives an activated signal. It moves forward and pushing one of the corners 5 out of the magazine toward the duct. At the full strqke the corner 5 will be sit right above the channel 7. The Pusher 8 will then press the corner 5 into the flange 9, before, the two Hammers 10 are moving in, bend down the side 11 of the flange to keep the corner in place. The machine, then, resets back to the start position and releases the duct. The cycle will re-start again once the two sensors receive a signal. All the actions are controlled by mean of ant electronically circuit, which also allows option of selection of either the Pusher 8 is holding down the corner 5 whilst the two Hammers are bending the sides of the flange. This action is useful for miss-match type of flange and corner. Or the Pusher 5 is moving outward whilst the two Hammers 10 are bending the flange. This allows the two Hammers 10 moving further in and effectively flat down the flange for firmer hold.
This invention may be better understood with reference to the illustration of embodiments of the invention which: Figure 1 is an elevation top view of the machine. Showing the out lay of all the components.

Claims (7)
1. Fitting a corner or angle plate into a channel of flange at the ends of a duct automatically. Provide the ducts and corners are in good condition.
2. Dispensing corner onto flange horizontally.
3. Pressing the corner into channel axially.
4. Holding the corner in place by mean of angle bending of the duct flange.
This corner-mate machine can use various corners to fit on various channel of flange.
6. Time delay can be adjusted.
7. Options of pre-programming of, which allow the choice of crimping force, apply to the corner.
