Description

The Little Aussie Mini Mower Brush Cutter Attachment With the professional contractor in mind The Little Aussie Mini Mower has been created to attach to petrol type brush cutters to allow an alternative to the cord type heads in which one can cut long grass, hedges, shrubs etc. all day long without the replacing of cord continuously and also with the ability to mow right up to the trunks of trees etc. without ring barking them.
This has been achieved by producing a stationary finger type system which has a bearing situated in the head of which allows a cutting blade system to slip over the top of the stationary finger assembly and when they are both tightened up to the face of the brush cutter assembly the circular cutting blade rotates on its axis by the way of the bearing in the stationary head which is simply anchored back to the brush cutter shaft by means of two straps which stabilize and anchor it back.
Any grasses, small shrubs and hedge material which comes between the fingers and rotating blade is therefor cut off with a scissors like action much like a harvester like technique.
Four types of blades have been created to accommodate different cutting needs, these being the star shaped cutter, triangle, four blades and two blades with the star shape one shown as an example in the main drawings.
The cutting technique which is much the same as using a scythe allows a continuous cut in which the stationary fingers gather the cut grass that are left behind in a stook like form at the end of the cut leaving a wind row type of effect.
A most favorable effect with this type of cutting action is that there is very little splatter or sand blasting effect which is common to the cord type head resulting in the operator not being covered in grass residue from head to toe.
A larger cut proto type is also being produced with a cutting blade size of 30.5cm.
As with all cuffing implements the standard P. P. E. is deemed mandatory i.e.Hleavy steel capped boots and safety glasses and gloves.

Claims (4)

1. That a revolutionary new concept for cutting with a petrol powered brush cutter where as it has a stationary fingered platform above which a rotating cutter slices off the material which protrudes through the fingers.
2. That the stationary fingered platform is retained in its plane by two straps anchored to the platform and retained back to the brush cutter shaft.
3. That the rotating cutting blades named as star type (main drawing) triangular (piece 2) four blade (piece 3) and two blade (piece 1) are able to rotate on its axis through the bearing system retained in the head of the stationary platform.
4. That various sizes of this cutter will be made as in accordance with necessity and as deemed the materials used. i.e. carbon steel, stainless steels and even poly carbonates in some smaller electric powered models.
