Abstract

The device for making optical storage media such as CDs and DVDS unreadable, comprises a body (10) which has a flat recess (12), whereby at least one tip (16) protrudes into said recess (12). At least one pair and ideally three pairs of opposite, coaxial tips (16) protrude into said recess (12). The body can be a rod (10) which has a diameter of approximately 25-35 mm and whose length is approximately 150mm. The recess (12) can be more than 1mm high, be approximately 50 mm deep and can be diametrically arranged in the rod (10). One or several headless screws (14) can be screwed into the body or rod (10) in a normal position in relation to the plane of the recess (12), the tips (16) being formed on the front end thereof.
