Abstract
Production of centering devices (4) in the region of a metallically reinforced rubber seal (7) comprises introducing at least one free cut into the edge region of a metal element (1), removing the released material from the plane (5) of the metal element, and extruding the material, especially with an elastomer material (8), via the free space (6) produced after the shaping to produce a specified end contour. An Independent claim is also included for a metallically reinforced rubber seal. Preferred Features: The material is removed from the plane of the metal element by about 90degrees during formation of a pin-like contour.
