Abstract

The invention relates to a steam bubble box unit (10) comprising a steam bubble box (12) for applying steam to a passing material web (14), especially a paper web or a cardboard web, and an extension device (16) which is at least partially integrated into the steam bubble box, and enables said steam bubble box, which is located opposite the material web in an operating position, to be laterally i.e. generally transversally in relation to the moving direction (L) of the web, guided out of its operating position, and out of its lateral position back into said operating position.
