Description

AUSTRALIA
Patents Act 1990 COMPLETE SPECIFICATION INNOVATION PATENT INTUITIVE CLICK DISCOVER WEB INTERFACE The following statement is a full description of this invention, including the best method of performing it known to me.
INTUITIVE CLICK DISCQVER WEB INTERFACE Informnation is a commodity that needs to be processed for consumption. While the world wide web provides an effective distribution system for this commodity existing search and reover methodology while appropriate for some applications can be cumbersome and time consuming for others. This invention improves the provision of online information services using a more flexible intuitive click and discover methodology as opposed to the rigidity of the aforementioned menu driven search and recover methodology of traditional web based technology and design.
The invention is a web interface that consists of a number of frames each with it's own key funrction.
The frames are designed and placed strategically to maximise efficiency and convenience. Some of the frames employ click and discover methodology which has been specifically developed for the interface which allows information to be displayed simultaneously in frames that are relevant to that particular selection. The interface is an information distribution system the purpose of which is to provide information services for (but not exclusively to) the tourism, leisure and recreation markets. The appearance and operation of the interface is in the form of an online publication.
The invention may be better understood with reference to the illustration of embodiments of the invention which arc: Figure 1 Figure 1 is a complete layout of the intuitive web interface with each individual frame numbered 1-9.
Each individual frame has it's own function which contributes to the overall functionality and uniqueness of the interface. Each frame will be described in detail with the word frame preceding the number to identify each individual frame.

Information contained in this frame does not remain constant, appears on each page and is crucial to the overall fuinctionality and uniqueness of the interface.
Frame 4 This is a display advertising fr-ame. Information contained in this frame does change, appears on each page and is not crucial to the overall functionality and uniqueness of the interface.
Frame This is the locality fr-ame. The names of towns, locations, suburbs, appear in this frame when state, province or regional map selections are made in frame 3. Upon selection of individual towns, locations, suburbs which are made from frame 5, information changes in frames 6, 7, 8 and 9.
contains scrolling capability to allow any number of towns, locations, suburbs to be contained herein. Information that is contained in this fr-ame does not remain constant, appears on each page and is crucial to the overall functionality and uniqueness of the interface.
Frame 6 This is the title fr-ame. This frame contains the title of any given page. This could be the title for state, province, region, town, location, suburb, companies, organisations and businesses.
