Description
UNIVERSAL HYDRAULIC JOCKEY WHEEL GRAIN AUGERS This grain auger jockey wheel assembly is a lifting device engineered specifically to have universal applications for lifting and moving grain augers of all makes and sizes.
Although there have been other devices produced, using cable winches and screw jacks, these have limitations for safe lifting and ease of use and movement of the auger.
This device allows the safe use and movement of augers in a variety of situations around the workplace.
The unique feature of this device is the use of a hydraulic jack to provide the lifting power.
This enables the unit to be self contained and easily fitted to any auger by simply fitting eight bolts.
The other features which sets this assembly apart from others is the ability to fully adjust the length of the lifting beam and also the angle of the jockey wheel pivot to allow effective lifting and movement at various elevations.
In the interest of Occupational Health and Safety these features eliminate the need to manually lift a heavy auger in order to move it into place for use.
List of Features: 1. Hydraulic power used 2. Fully adjustable length of lifting beam 3. Adjustable angle on jockey wheel pivot 4. Universal application fits any sized auger by using different clamps eg. 175mm, 200mm, 225mm, 250mm diameter auger barrels.
Handles on either side of unit to grip the auger for easy movement and manouvering.
6. Hydraulic jack can be fitted to either side of unit to match other functions of the auger (eg lifting winch) 7. Strong steel construction to make the assembly safe and reliable.
8. Pneumatic tyre with steel centre used.
Diagrams showing the features of the Jockey Wheel Assembly have been included as Figures 1 and 2 on pages 1/2 and 2/2 to assist with the description Universal Hydraulic Jockey Wheel P.F.Luelf COMPONENTS OF UNIVERSAL HYDRAULIC JOCKEY WHEEL GRAIN AUGER (see Figure 1 for Complete Lifting Apparatus illustration) 1. Jockey Wheel unit with adjustments (see Jockey Wheel diagram 1 showing adjustments 2. Adjustable lifting arm 4 positions 3. Heavy duty pivot for lifting arm 4. Guide for lifting arm RHS either side with connecting plate on bottom Clamps to hold unit to Auger barrel 4 sizes held on by eight bolts 6. Auger Barrel 7. Hydraulic Jack for lifting end of Auger 8. Pivot Assembly for bottom of Hydraulic Jack (jack can be fitted on either side) 9. Top pivot for top of hydraulic jack can be fitted on either side of the unit. Jack held on with split pin.
Tension springs one either side of unit to return lifting beam to its higher position when hydraulic jack is released.

6. Extendable lifting beam sliding RHS with holes 4 positions 7. Easily removable pin for adjustment secured by a clevis pin.
