Description

AUSTRALIA
Patents Act 1990 COMPLETE SPECIFICATION INNOVATION PATENT WEE TARGET The following statement is a full description of this invention, including the best method of performing it known to me.
-1- WEE TARGET For many people the cleaning up of urine off the floor, seat or between the lid and base of the toilet is very frequent with young boys in the house. This invention has been specially devised in order to provide a simple, inexpensive, effective readily reusable target for young boys to aim at to help prevent this problem from happening.
The target will be seen by the boys as a challenge and will also assist with toilet training toddlers by creating some fun.
The Wee Target fixes to the inside of the toilet by a plastic, or any suitable material suction cap, hanger, clip device or adhesive for easy removal and/or cleaning. For an example, the target is fixed by suction cap to inside rim of the toilet at the appropriate level for the target to be approximately 2.5 cm above water level. The suction cap placement can vary in position on the inside rim of the toilet depending on what is the best position for the attached target.
A plastic, or any suitable material, hanger fixes to the suction cap with the target connected to the hanger (this can also be made adjustable for vertical length). The target itself sits just above water level so when the toilet is flushed the target is also washed for added hygiene.
The target may be made of plastic, or any suitable material, and consist of a character drawing, or any suitable picture that appeals to children, ie. A lion head with its mouth open that changes colour with the change of temperature when the target is hit with warm urine. The target could also have a fragrance added.
The target size will vary depending on what sort of picture or character used. The toilet training target will need to be larger in size to encourage confidence with toddlers, whereas the older boys like a challenge and perhaps a small amount of the target could change colour if hit in right spot. A fragrance could also be used.

Claims (4)

1. A target mountable in a toilet bowl or like appliance comprising a hanger made of synthetic plastic or an equivalent material having a suction cup at the upper end for suspending the hanger from the inside rim of the toilet bowl and a drawing/picture at the lower end of the hanger, wherein the hanger is of adjustable length.
2. A target as claimed in Claim 1, wherein the hanger is in two parts, one bearing the suction cup and the other part being the target.
3. A target as claimed in Claim 1 or 2, wherein one of the parts has a series of apertures and the other has a corresponding series ofprotrusions, the arrangement being that selective overlap affords length adjustment.
4. A target substantially as herein described with reference to the accompanying drawings. Dated this 2 3 rd day of May, 2003. SANDERCOCK COWIE PATENT ATTORNEYS FOR JOANNA CATHERINE HAMES
