Patents Act 1990 COMPLETE SPECIFICATION INNOVATION PATENT IMPROVED SYRINGE CANISTER DISPOSAL BIN The Improved syringe ,canister disposal bin is a new Innovated Invention which provides a more safer disposable of syringe ,drugs usage which provides a safer environment for uses and non users alike.
Improved Syringe Canister Bin Currently syringe disposal bins are provided only for syringes discarded on their own in small disposal containers allocated in some public toilets in designated area's throughout Victoria.
This invention has been specially devised to provide an improved disposal system not only for syringes as such but also for the canisters that are provided with syringes from pharmacies and syringe exchange programs through health services it has also been designed whereby the contents once disposed are securely confined making unauthorised retrieval preventable! A syringe canister disposal bin in accordance with this invention comprises a larger size cylinder with a small round opening in it's wall near said top.
The visor at the said top provides extra protection to the said opening, near the said top, for use in out door area's and facilities in accordance with changing of weather conditions and climates.
Having installed a spring action flip door inside canister at said opening provides security and prevents the escape of waste contents if tampered.
A section of the said base is preferably removable to coincide with the emptying of discarded waste, hence a sliding panel which is designed to be secured in co-operation of tamper proof security lock near said base sliding panel.
The Disposal bin is preferable made from sheet metal only, due to the matter of disposal waste other materials would not be suitable or safe enough to use. The invention may be better understood with reference to the illustrations of embodiments of the invention which:- 1. The syringe canister disposal bin has an entrance at the top 2 for the disposal of medical waste usage for syringe drug use.
2. It also has on the inside a security flap 8 so that nothing can be removed from the entrance.
3. At the top of the syringe canister disposal bin a shield 3 provides protection from the weather when used out side.
4. The metal container 1 provides protection for the waste inside the bin or container.
metal slide 7 pushes the waste into one corner for easy extraction.
6. The key lock 4 is a special security key lock for secured purposes.
7. The extra thickened sliding door provides more security to the protection of the container and the waste inside. 8.The locking plate 6 provide a well secured locking mechanism for the protection and safety of its contents and the public.

Claims (4)

1. A disposal bin comprising a larger size cylinder made of sheet metal, having in it's wall near said top an opening for discarding syringe drug use waste, complete with weathering shield above said opening.
2. A disposal as claimed in claim 1, wherein the cylinder at the opening in it's wall near said top a spring action hinge security door.
3. A disposal bin as claimed in claims 1-2 whereon inside cylinder to-ward said base has a metal slide which allows syringe drug use waste to collect toward one corner for purposes of easier emptying.
4. A disposal bin as claimed in claims 1-3 wherein the said base has a strengthened slide panel which is operational only in co- operation of security locking mechanism.
