Abstract

The invention concerns a filling and sealing device comprising a top part (3) in the shape of a bell and a bottom part (2) forming a dish, receiving a container (4) to be sealed by a film (11) in the chamber (25) defined by the two parts (2 and 3). The top part (3) comprises in one wall (8), on the sealing film feeding side (11), inserting and filling means (17A, 20) emerging inside the chamber (25) between the film (11) and the lower edge of the wall (8) for introducing products into the chamber (25) and filling the container (4) held therein, and above said means (17A, 20) a slot (13) for allowing through the film with sealing and locking means (14) with controlled actuation. Means (27, 28) for unwinding the film for example in the form of a push-rod are provided to introduce into the chamber (26) an extra length of sealing film (11). The invention is applicable in particular to packaging of food products under controlled or modified atmosphere, in trays or jars.
