Abstract

The invention relates to a device and a method for producing blow-moulded containers, comprising a heating station (9), a transfer wheel (5) and a blow wheel (13), with several blow forms. Preforms are guided from the at least one heating station to the blow wheel via the transfer wheel; the individual blow moulds can receive at least two preforms for the forming thereof; the transfer wheel comprises several gripperarms (2) which extend radially in an outward direction with at least two grips which can be pivoted. In order to enable an improved and efficient transfer of preforms from the heating station to the blow wheel while at the same time increasing productivity, the distance of the longitudinal axes of the gripper of a gripper arm in relation to each other corresponding to the distance of the longitudinal axes of the preforms in the blow mould is twice as great as the distance of the longitudinal axes of the preforms in the heating station, or the device comprises the n heating stations which are arranged in relation to the transfer wheel in such a way that the first gripper of a gripper arm receives preforms from a first station and a n<th> gripper of the same gripper arm receives a preform from the n<th> heating station, the distance of the preform in the blow mould in relation to each other corresponding to the distance of the grippers (whereby n is greater than 1).
