Abstract

The invention concerns a device comprising a linear conductive element arranged proximate to the work to be detected and monitored, associated with a connection system including housings connecting several sections of a conductor and end-of-line housings, whereof at least some comprise a connection point for a detection signal generator and at least a switch enabling to insulate the conductor section wherein the signal is to be injected. A housing (2) provided with a connection point for a detection signal generator comprises a normally closed contact consisting of two conductive components (8, 9) which, arranged on the line whereof the continuity is to be ensured, are mutually pressed when no action is exerted on them, the connection point comprising means for inserting and guiding a plug which, connected to the detection signal generator, is designed when it is engaged in the housing to be supported on the component (8) connected to the line section wherein the signal is to be injected while spacing it apart from the other component (9).
