Abstract

A method for supporting half-duplex calls via full-duplex connections, the method including the steps of initiating a first half duplex connection between a first MS (38) and a first BTS (40), initiating a full-duplex connection between the first BTS (40) and a second BTS (44) via a full-duplex transmission medium (36), initiating a second half-duplex connection between the second BTS (44) and a second MS (42), and carrying a half duplex call from the first MS (38) to the second MS (42) via the connections.
