Abstract

An energy-supplying device (1) connects to an energy source (6) via terminals (4,5), converts energy supplied to it from an AC voltage into a DC voltage and passes this converted energy to a consumer (9) like an accumulator (3) via output terminals (7,8). A switching element (10) between an output terminal and a negative potential is switched through upon a particular polarity at the output terminal and switched off upon an opposite, incorrect polarity.
