Abstract
The invention concerns a device for transmitting RZ optical signals comprising a source for transmitting a coherent optical signal and means for modulating said optical signal, characterised in that said modulating means consist of an amplitude modulator and means control said modulator and/or laser so that they/it simultaneously produce(s) an amplitude modulation and a synchronous phase modulation.
